Recommendations for lawyer

Need recommendations for a lawyer to take action against copyright infringement.

My client (I did gallery subs for his adult websites) has found his many instances of his content being pirated as well as the videos modified to remove his watermarks. The lawyer he currently has is just chipping away at the small players, where there is little to collect. He is looking for a lawyer willing to tackle major infringers. Several years ago I attended the Phoenix Forums where this topic was discussed. Unfortunately, I didn't keep any notes.

Taking on major infringers requires major money. I dont know any experienced copyright litigators that will touch a copyright infringement case on a contingency. Perhaps a newb attorney looking for experience. But anyone that has the staff and skill set to take on a major infringer is going to cost $$$.

I can tell you that your client will be looking at least $100,000 in fees and more than likely in excess of $250,000. Im General Counsel for one of my adult clients and riding shotgun on defending a copyright case in FL and we are 3 years in, the case is just getting started and my client is in for $125,000+ for myself and local counsel.

DM me if you want to discuss further once you talk to your client. I might be able to refer someone depending on the state you are looking for counsel in.

I am not sure whether he handles infringement cases or not but if he doesn't I am sure he can refer you to someone who does.

Does your client know who is the thief? Can he prove it?

Speaking of lawyers does anyone know about legal insurance? You pay like $99 a month?
I recall seeing this years ago. The young lawyer I know had never heard of this.

Well, I wonder how. Isn't the whole piracy issue based on the fact that they use a safe harbour? Either DMCA or the claim they are not the ones who uploaded the content?

Is that a tube or does he run a blog where he links to these materials? I am interested in this as piracy is the problem of everyone in this business, but the legal ways to fight it are very limited.
