Finally got my site back up after...

the retards at fmylife sent a DMCA to my hosting company, trying to say I stole their script lol.

Thanks man, yeah and my lawyer in LA sent them a letter back after their C&D calling their claim "baseless"

They were whining, and bitching because I was getting SE traffic from their terms like "FML sex" "fml sex stories" etc.

Seems they can't handle a little competition. Heh.

The fact is just that the website (FMSL) is an entire copy of FML.

I love the source code in French. I'm sure the guy behind fmysex.com understand it ;)

(french because the first website was viedemerde.fr then turned into the english version FML, so the same code)

They merely replicated it, it's not hard to write that script, it's pretty basic functionality. And you cannot copyright a concept and they have no patent on anything.

Actually they didn't send the DMCA till the beginning of 2010 I think. I've been really busy with other things and finally re-connected with a developer friend of mine who is ready to work on it. We'll be developing it further and re-designing the site.

Already got a new one. But I can't blame my old host, it was a DMCA, and they are required to remove the content after 48 hrs, without a counter-notice.
