    My Bacon Log... (pics)

    So i got any idea from Smiley over at MP. Hes rocking this bacon wrap thing so I decided to give it a shot. I stuck with the normal first time roll with bacon, sausage, rub and cheese.

    Make sure not to drool too much and dont throw yourself into a visual heart attack.


    The ingredients - Add cheese if you want, I did!


    Dont skimp on the bacon. Get some good, THICK CUT, bacon!


    First, Cook up half of your bacon. While its cooking, start weaving your bacon blanket.


    Onceits all ready, get all your meat in one place and ready to roll.


    Cover your blanket in a good rub. I found some pork rub and it did just fine.


    Here you need to cover your blanket with the sausage. One thing I recommend though is flattening it out on something else before smashing it on your blanket and spreading it out. If you do that you most likely will fuck up the weave in your blanket.


    MORE BACON!!!!!!


    CHEESE!!!!


    Roll that shit up!


    Slap it in the oven...


    Cook it for about 1.5 hours. Smiley had foil on his half way through then took it off for crispness on his go... but I didnt use any foil at all on mine and it came out nice. Make your move.

                                                                          IM not a big fan of italian sausage... but this one was good. I definitely could go for a spicier sausage next time...

                                                                          SMiley was talking about making all sorts of variations such as a cordon bleu and he even posted some shots of some turkey and stuffing variation... looks good.
