Great for software development and testing
Lots of free software
It's Unix
Cons:
No Itunes
No Camtasia
No GotoMeeting
No Adobe Tools
btw.. most the above have open source alternatives but they are just not up to scratch.
Overall I love Ubuntu and have been using it for my sole desktop for about 5 months, it does crash on occasion, but I love being able to script all my build processes for my sites. Having said that, the cons are a getting a little annoying. Chances are I will be buying a macbook pro in the next few days and dual booting it.I don't endorse a god damn thing......
