    You are in every thread about piracy backing up the pirates and saying that nothing can be done to combat piracy...

    Are you a flat out pirate? If not then why are you validating the business practices of the tubes and torrents and giving cover to the pirates that are destroying our business?

      I say the same thing and hate piracy with a passion. Not about this bill specifically but all of the bitching and suing and mass DMCAing will not do a damn thing until laws are changed in a big way. Due to the nature of the internet it will be extremely hard to get someone to pass those laws.

                                                      Every time there is a large media copyright infringement case, traffic to the torrent sites goes up. Look at Alexa. Overlay the spikes with cases like Jamie Thomas hitting the news.

                                                      We destroyed the business ourselves. Very little to do with piracy.

                                                      Listen closely, you seem to REALLY struggle to wrap your head around this. Just because I do not think piracy will be stopped, doesn't mean I am in favour of it.

                                                      Here are some other things that won't be stopped:

                                                      rape
                                                      child abuse
                                                      famine
