Hmm, great domain, but definitely not a place I'd park $13,000,000 dollars.

You can't guarantee it will be worth more than 10 million in 5-10 years much less more than 13 million.

How much type in traffic do you think it really gets a day? How much money does it make from just type ins ? Sure it has branding potential but so do many other domains that would cost a fraction of that price. Even if it made 1K a day from type ins, it will take him 30-40 years to get his money back.

If it is one thing you people should have learned by now (if you been around a while) is you can't guarantee anything these days.

Sex.com is not a bad investment at 13 million. Sorry, it's just not. It's unfortunate that complete idiots have purchased the domain each time but that has nothing to do with the domain and everything to do with the idiots.
