I kayak regularly and plan on getting back into racquetball as soon as my leg heals. I also peddle my ass around town on a bicycle when the weather is nice.

Both games are tough on your knees and ankles, especially as you get older (I've already had ankle surgery, and experienced minor meniscus tears, that are excruciatingly painful). What I love about tennis is that it is not as demanding as basketball, and it is a sport which I can play with my wife, plus tennis has ratings, so that you are generally playing against others with approximately the same skill level. As you get older, there are also leagues for 50+ and 65+ players (although some of those old guys are still pretty good, even though they generally can't move as fast). My wife and I were the USTA NorCal Mixed-Doubles "Grand Prix" champs back in 2002 (Grand Prix championships are based upon your accumulated Open tournament points for the year). http://www.methodshop.com/picts/ouch/tennis.jpg ADG |
is jerking off a sport?

Besides running 3 days per week since the summer, I just got back into amateur league soccer at my 35 years old after 10 years not playing it at competitive level. It's tough to keep the pace with some guys in their twenties, but still pretty fun and feels good to be in shape again and to have lost 10 pounds already.

50 fatties.
I run regularly, it's not a sport as such, but keeps you fit and mind in sync. Now the summer is upon us in Oz, I'll be in the surf most days or doing laps. |

I never pictured you as a lapdog... :winkwink: Although now that I think about it, I imagine you have done plenty of breast-stroking, and are an expert at the Australian crawl (home from the pub)... ADG |
good luck on your competition

I'm so glad to see you guys (and gals) do a lot more than just computer work, which can be quite numbing sometimes.
How about organizing some sort of webmaster olympics? That'd be cool! |
I wonder how do you manage to work and make money if you spend so much time with other activities.. I would really love to know that.
6 times a week looks like "too much"... Unless you work a few hours a day and you still manage to do 10K per month... Wonder how you do it, unless you are a rich sponsor owner and you AVOID spamming or scamming people out. Hard you the average affiliate. . |
