In an additional effort to reduce the costs for all webmasters, in my last post I posted hotels and hostals starting from 40 Euros, which are located only five minutes from the event hotel.
Here now some flight recommendations that hopefully help to take some extra weight of every webmaster's budget...

I may be wrong here, but how many affiliates do you see at the shows these days? It's mostly affiliate programs, billing companies, mobile technology providers, content producers and hosting companies.
The few affiliates that are present are big affiliates who can afford 5* hotels and they represent what, 5% of the total people attending?
Don't get me wrong, I love the BCN Summit and advise anyone who ask me to attend. But do we still believe the adult shows should be for affiliates, with conferences for affiliates?Comment

You are absolutely right, I see no affiliates nor webmasters at the other major shows these days.
That is correct. That is why we try to make a difference this time by reducing the costs for affiliates to attend the Summit to a maximum. I think with accomodation starting at 40 Euro, flights starting at 16 Euro return, and ZERO Euro entrance fee, and free parties & entertainment, it should be possible for affiliates to attend - especially for affiliates from Spain and France who live in driving distance from the Summit.
We try to keep the OVERALL costs for the webmaster at BELOW 200 Euro for the whole show weekend.
I think adult shows still should be there for the whole adult online industry.
But hey, if we do not manage to bring in at least 50-100 affiliates by offering accomodation from 40 Euro, finding them flights from 16 Euro on, letting them in for free, offering free parties and entertainment to them, developing the affiliate education with webmasters for webmasters, and inviting them to an awesome weekend trip destination like Barcelona (girlfriend friendly) ... if all that does not pay off, and we do not manage to attract at least 50-100 affiliates to our February 2011 event, then I will have to agree with you, and will also stop trying, I promise

I've actually met webmasters at the Barcelona and Amsterdam show. While the US shows are heavy with B2B attendees, there are many EU webmasters attending the EU shows, most of them telling me they will never attend a US show but are happy that there are at least 2 to look forward to.Comment
