The problem with shit from ikea is once you build it you can forget about moving it to another apartment later.

I've never had a problem with anything ikea breaking and I have quite a bit of stuff from there, including stuff i've moved around.

The problem with stuff from IKEA is its cheap crap that last about year. Disposable furniture made for college dorm rooms.

I love Ikea. I'm so happy they finally opened one in Tampa. I haven't purchased any furniture peices yet but walking around the place and checking out their stuff you get what you pay for. It seems they have a range from cheaper end to higher end. Some of the higer end stuff seems pretty nice and well made. Stuff in the $100 - $150 range seems to be built more for looks, but the stuff in the $350+ seems like it might be built to last.

The cheap stuff is cheap for a reason but the more expensive items do seem well made. Got some chairs that must be 10 years old now that have lasted really well.
