Another example why Amrican music is dead: Tom Snyder Interview with Kiss

Nobody gives KISS the respect they deserve - maybe because Gene is such as asshat. Music was fun back in the '70s. This is classic shit. I watched this LIVE, so I'm old and my judgement is suspect. Unfortuantely Ace didn't have the metabolism of Keef or Joe Perry, so he's a ruin now. Back in the late4 '70s, Ace was a riot.

Music was fun then. Today? Not so much.

I'm a huge KISS fan. Was lucky enough to spend $200,000 of someone else's money to buy the first costumes they ever released.

My toddlers love Kiss. My 4 year old niece was Peter Criss for halloween last year and Gene this year.

Kiss is still a good time.

Bless you. I was Paul and Peter for Hallowe'en around thirty years ago.

I met everyone except Gene (I met him, he never gave me he time of day...), and they were all sweethearts. I first met Peter at Nags Head Norh in Toronto, and the man was so nice to me. My thirtieth birthday I was drunk and terrified. Peter was a good guy - I think I amused him for awhile.

I met Paul at Rock and Roll Heaven. Very polite, quick with a laugh, very attentive and accomodating. Returned phone calls, referred us to Gene. Uh oh...

I met Ace at the Gasworks long after he left KISS. Wasted, but hilarious. By the time I stumbled home, I thought I was going to die from laughing so hard. I think we hit every pre-hiphop boozecan is Toronto.

Gene spent a lot of money and effort trying to develop my friend's bands - for a long time he probably spent more money on original music than anyone else in the business. He spent more money on Canadian talent than all of the Canadian record companies combined. Never gave me the time of day, never said hello, never shook my hand, never took my calls. Maybe I pissed Paul off...

Still, no-one can touch this: https://youtube.com/watch?v=zgkLhfiGIqY (Can't embed, sorry)
