Businesses won't come back until they have better terms in the US than somewhere else. Plain and simple. Why would they?

No businesses, no jobs. No jobs, no economy.

However, to be competitive, taxes would need to be substantially reduced; what they are talking about now doesn't even come close. But that would mean they would need to cut spending as well. That is not going to happen.

So where does that leave us? We're fucked.

Partisan class warfare instead of objectively looking at the cause and effect relationships and deciding what is best.

Then again unless we have an objective means of deciding what is best for everyone people are just going to vote for what is best for them at the expense of another.

          tiger, thats a cute chart.
do you know how big the circle is for what those top earners PAY to the government?
you obviously don't or you'd understand the embarrassment of your position.

oh, and tiger, your chat is a lie. I'd be curious to see where you pulled it from.
considering the top tax rate is 35% under bush, 39.6% proposed by obama, 4.6% of 1million is NOT $103,835 nor is it $97,486

but I guess it looks good when you're perpetrating class warfare, eh?

                here's a number to consider.
                a 35% tax on $1mil is $350,000.00
Thats a $350,000 payment (per year) for the same services you're probably getting for free.

leave it to one of the sniveling unwashed to not understand the consequences of having half the voting populous have no skin in the game.

Oh lord... like removing the tax cut would give people no skin in the game, hahaha... much like it did through the 90's or the 40's to the 80's or after Reagan tax cuts were removed.

so your suggestion would be for that person making 1mil to pay the same dollar amount as the person making 50k (since they are receiving the same services), or you have a different idea?

and isn't the 39.6 "proposed by obama" actually just a going back to the rate it was before the cut?

dear idiot, you're talking about the 47% who don't pay taxes. not the tax cut.

And a direct comparison to George W. Bush is a good thing? LOL. What Dubya did or didn't do doesn't matter anymore. He is gone. His game is over. Now we "move forward" with Mr. Obama.

I, for one, would love to see someone stand up and say "we need to stop fighting, we have things to do, enough is enough." I don't care who says it, just someone. I hope it's him and not the next President, we need to start today.

Calling the Republicans enemies does not help. Promising to repeal legislation without new solutions doesn't help.

Oh so your statement is even stupider? So now your saying people that do pay taxes, but get a rebate on federal income tax, don't have a skin in the game?
