Not another show Thread? Vegas Internext 2010 going to see who's left?

Hey Guys,

I have been getting alot of IM's about Internet Vegas and if I'm going. When I mention the ROI of shows and how the last Internext show was poorly attended and how I don't see the value anymore. I love the social nature and meeting old friends so its kinda like webmaster band camp for me.


The general feedback is its cheap and they wanna go to see who is left. You will see first hand what companies that weathered the storm and who isn't around anymore.

I'm also coming from Canada so its more expensive than say american webmasters that tend to dominate the show.

Your thoughts? Are you going?

I'm going from the 7th-10th...I'm staying at a hotel right next door to the show hotel and i got it for like $40 a night

With the show being free to attend it really makes it worth the trip

flight+hotel ended up being right around $500

I will be there. Its almost a free trip for me, otherwise not sure if I would be going. Bringing my gf along, but its mainly to meet up with old friends in the biz now a days and less business itself

I heard the tube guys will be at the airports handing out free counterfeited plane tickets hoping that you buy their branded drinks on the plane.

Also they will be at the show handing out counterfeit tickets, with live cam girls popping up in your face. It should be fun.

I'd love to go and hang w/ you, but I haven't enjoyed a vegas internext/avn since you, David and I broke in your credit card at the Wynn. ;) I'm definitely weathering the storm, but think I'll hold out on shows 'til Phoenix. And yet, I'm curious to see how the new format is going to work!

you may not see the definitive ROI on a show, but stop going to shows for a year and see how your money dips.
It is the best way to meet a lot of the new people in the industry, which you need to do for continuing your business.

They are not charging for badges this year - you just have to register before hand and "prove" you are in the business

if you register at the show it will cost but they havnt said a price ... just less than $100

The webmaster community has changed drastically. Surely you see that.

That can be arranged.. Set up a laptop get a connection and they will do a cam show for ya. Not a problem.. Sure we pay and it won't be in person but whatever...

Every eight completed round trips in the Southwest airlines frequent flier program- no matter how short the flights- earns one a free r.t. flight. I just saved mine up for Vegas.
