I didnt even know people use epic in real life. I have only seen it on the net BRO.

I don't remember at what point the net caught onto "epic" but people in the ski community have been all over "epic" for fucking ages now.

Epic is reserved for describing an Aston Martin.

It's a Top Gear thing.

I dunno about epic, but a ton of these sort of words have come out of the Cali surfer types. Awesome, bodacious, tubular, gnarly, radical/rad, far out + dozens of other words that the Ninja Turtles would say, lol. That said, ski/snowboard and other extreme sports pretty much have the same kind of people so they've probably contributed stuff too now.
