With every new press release, demonstration, and article in the LA Weekly (that always sides with Weinstein and the AHF), I've figured there had to be some kind of money angle--otherwise why go after AIM and the adult industry so hard with what is just a PR campaign? I'm sure this video just scratched the surface.
Maybe that gets them free or reduced prices for distributing that company's condoms to the AHF patients?
Dave,
He wants all the testing (and precriptions) to go through his own clinics & pharmacies. Once AHF takes over testing they are going to try to madidate HPV innoculation and several other tests/innoculations for the talent. I.E. - Even more $$$ for AHF!

I worry that the AHF push for condoms, and CA/OSHA enforcement thereof, will drive the need for testing clinics like AIM way down , due to the possibility of companies financially folding due to the added expense of complying with all the bureaucratic Ca/OSHA admin mandates, and/or motivating porn production to go "undergroud" or off-shore, which might make AIM tests less used; and, coupled with piracy which is financially raping the Industry and putting folks out of business, cutting jobs and production budgets and releases, bye-bye any business for clinics like AIM.
The American thirst for new female starlets will be replaced by porn from Russia and elsewhere where some releases might connote that it's ok to choke/fist/etc women:-(. YUK!
With the numbers of porn talent already way down due to piracy, AHF's push for condoms and CA/OSHA's regulations might make testing obsolete---it might not be profitable for AHF to take over testing? Comments???
I think that this industry is going to move more underground. Scenes will be shot, but locations will be unknown and talent will start to keep it on the down low.
Agency websites will need to be membership based(accessed buy verified content shooters only) and kept off radar if they are going to stay in business and not fucked with by OSHA.
As things change, this industry will adapt and change with it.
You know, all these folks at Cal-OSHA and the LA County Department of Public Health always remind me of Governor William J. Lepetomane in Blazing Saddles when he says: "We've gotta protect our phoney-baloney jobs, gentlemen, we must do something about this immediately!" Especially the phoney-baloney jobs part!

Agreed.
That is how the industry started in the first place.

when i started shooting in 2000 things were on the down low mostly. agents would not work with people they did not know... had to shoot for years before an agent would deal with me at all
I hope Cal/OSHA will decide to let our present testing procedures be an alternative for for dental dams, goggles, and condoms. Condoms sometimes break, slip off ---right????
