It's supposed to be a mirror of it at another location.

BTW, it's going to be a real mindfuck when one day ALL this old data is fully searchable via a search engine with a frontend like Google. Right now archive.org doesn't provide that. Once I think they used to provide access to an API or such upon request but I don't know about now. Imagine all that data... All the old sites "rising from the grave" so to speak.
