I just find it comedic, seriously when i fuck up i get a swift kick in the ass from the people around me. not a "its all good" approach.

Perhaps the ideal thing would have been to NOT have the puppies in the first place, but that is not the case here is it?

i find the same :1orglaugh the reason i piped up was i didn't think he was that off the mark in terms of being 'responsible'

some people would have thrown em in the river, you know?

As for the lab/dane, well he is my dog and I am not going to get him fixed just because I have her in the house.

he obviously wanted to breed his animal. you guys think what you want, i will think what I want.

my pets are my friends, i don't mutilate my friends

educate yourself. you can try and lay guilt trips on those of us who know better, but the fact is- you are wrong.

ya dude, im just busting your balls, im not perfect, but i try to do less dumb shit these days as possible hehe. i want a pet because i work at home all day, but i just dont want the responsibility because i dont have time for it.

so i just make the sacrifice and dont get it. like anything seems good idea at the time probably could have been prevented.

i have been wrong before. i see what you're trying to say and obviously people had different methods, but calling this guy irresponsible is going a bit too far i think

wait wait. his problem is he probably finished some form of education, unlike you so you're definitely smarter than him, richard, and basically everyone else. you're not a slave :thumbsup

Getting dogs fixed is soooooo important, both my dog's and cat's are fixed and EVERY other animal I have ever had were fixed. People who don't fix dogs are absolutely fucking crazy. You should go and volunteer at the shelter and see what happens to puppy's that people don't want.

:(

_Richard_ 10-29-2010 11:15 AM

the shelters are still full, even with all the 'fixing' thats going on

it's no worse than claiming i mutilated my guy and adding in the comment implying i am not friends with my pet.

michael.kickass 10-29-2010 11:18 AM

Definitely too many puppies around, you should find them a home pronto.

grumpy 10-29-2010 11:19 AM

you shouldnt be allowed to have pets if you dont understand the basics

No you dont have to "mutilate" your dog that is your personal choice, but if you are to stupid to watch what your dog is doing maybe it is a good option. :2 cents:

There is enough problem animals in the world. If you're such a dog lover you should be adopting all 9. :2 cents:

Yep sure sounds like he obviously wanted to breed them.

amen!!!! Preach !!!

with your derogatory reference to the process, it sure seems like the implication is being made.

maybe i'm sensitive to the matter, i really didn't want it done, but felt it was the responsible thing to do being as my guy was never going to get any. and the research shows it helps the males live longer.

czarina 10-29-2010 11:39 AM

there are too many uncared for dogs in this world. Spay your pets!

my derogatory reference is my reference to make. I apologize if what i said came across as my trying to implicate you with not caring for your pet, i was simply trying to explain it in a way that would be understood. You made different choices based on your situation, and I'm not about to fault you for that.

Exactly... there are those folks who believe that fixing animals is the surefire thing to do. While there are others that believe it is downright cruelty. I believe it should be the choice of the owners. I also believe that they should be responsible for their actions in any case.

Yes I knew the risk, and I took it. However I was hoping for a smaller litter.

Also, I spoke to my friend who put me in touch with the rescue person, after I posted the first part of your quote.

Don't listen to these idiots. There is nothing wrong with having puppies.

look, people can be responsible pet owners and keep their animals from unplanned breeding without having their animal fixed.

but that's not what you did. you had a ho-hum attitude about the pit bull being at your place and getting knocked up by your dog, you already stated so. now you got 9 of em running around and admitted it will be a problem getting rid of them.

that's entirely your fault. period.

2 rocker launchers seems excessive, but as long as there are no flame throwers....
