Or we could run that bitch Pelosi, wait, under her the deficit has gone up 5 trillion dollars?Well this is great news! I can't imagine why anyone would want to be president right now. There is no quick fix to this. Put the Republicans back in so we can bash them again.
Sarah Palin? Oh, I hope so. That would be the funniest election ever!
Jeb Bush? After the mess his bro left us in? Be serious.
This election is not for a new president, it's to take away the power he had. He's a shitty leader, he had the power to do ANYTHING, but the democrats were about as useless as an Epass card when it came to working together.
It seems that everyone thats for the democrats right now are making excuses, man up bitches, the economy is fucked, right leaning or left leaning news can't cover that up, people are pissed. Or are you actually going to blame Fox news for the economy and unemployment?
Can't blame Bush, after spending a trillion dollars, Obama owns this shit
Hell a couple people running for office turned down the president for backing.
Is there anyone running for office using the healthcare law, don't think so
Is there anyone running for office on how they made jobs, yeah rightCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about thatComment

In fact they are RUNNING away from everything they have done and not done. There is a dem running for Senate here that voted with Obama 97% of the time and is running ads saying "I am a fiscal conservative". It is rather comical.

Comment
-
Well it's a shame if the senate doesn't go republican too.
It means the republicans will have a built in excuse when all their policies, or lack of policies, have their inevitable effects.
We americans deserve all this, and it is inevitable that we will pay the price for the choices we have made and our general passivity in the face of a transforming planet.
The dem pols, by betraying the progressives who have the only intelligent answers to the current economic dead end, deserve to be punished.
We progressives can look forward to the results of republican rule.
It should be a great show. We can see how the republicans create jobs and fix the economy.Comment

No it's not. And if so people are stupid.
Some FACTS
50% actually like "Obamacare"
Of the 50% that don't, 50% of those hate it because it DOESN'T GO FAR ENOUGH. These people don't want LESS "Obamacare" they want MORE.
Of the 25% that actually hate "Obamacare" because they think it's "government healthcare" HALF actually LIKE it when the individual pieces are explained and they aren't told they are part of "Obamacare".
So when you break it down only about 1/8 actually hate Obamacare. And most of them really hate the mandatory inusrance part which will most likely be revisited, but shouldn't.
Seriously Obamacare is NOT getting repealed. Now that sick kids can get insurance the GOP is REALLY going to take that away? Want to lose an election in 2012. I'd like to run against the guy who voted to take away sick kids insurance. REAL fucking smart. Or how about young peolpe 18-25 that are now paying LESS for insurance because they can stay on their parents plan instead of having to get their own plan? Yes INCREASE their insurance costs. That'll get them to vote for you.Last edited by GatorB; 10-27-2010, 10:50 PM.Comment

Ok first of all In Bush first 6 years the GOP controled congres ran up debts and Bush signed off on them. In the last 2 years sure the Dems controleld COngress and Bush SIGNED those budgets. But no that bet that was run up is ALL Polosi's fault? Sorry Bush did have the power to veto those last 2 budgets if he thought they were causing too much debt. He did not do that.
Useles Iraq war cost what 2 trillion. Medicare prescription drug benfit plan passed by GOP controlled Congress and signed by Bush is going to cost nearly a trillion dolalrs over it's first dozen years. God knows how much after that. These are the DEMOCRATS fault?Comment

FACT of the 13.7 trilion dollar debt Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 are responsible for half of it.
Before Reagan took office the total debt was 3 trillion after he left it was 7 trillion. That's a 133% increase durring his term. By comparison under Clinton during his 8 years the debt only increased by 2 trillion or 26% If you adjust for inflation that 4 trillion Reagan ran up equals about 8 trillion today. No way Obama increases the debt by 133% which would be 16 trillion or even the 8 trillion inflation adjusted debt Reagan ran up.Comment

Apparently you did not read my posts on the first page where I show a poll done this October that completely destroys your "facts"
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ...ealth_care_law
A majority of voters continue to favor repeal of the new national health care law, and the number who sees this outcome as likely has reached a new high.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 53% of Likely U.S. voters favor repeal of the health care law, including 43% who Strongly Favor repeal. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal of the bill, with 32% who are Strongly Opposed.Overall, 37% say the health care plan passed by Congress in March will be good for the country, the lowest level of confidence found this month. Fifty-three percent (53%) say the law will be bad for the country.Last edited by IllTestYourGirls; 10-28-2010, 03:44 AM.

I'm curious where this "liberal media" tag came from. I thought the number one rated news channel was FoxNews and the largest newspaper in the US was the Wall Street Journal? They don't seem so "liberal".As you can see, I never claimed the media is run by Republicans. In fact, the media to me is run by corporations; News Corp, CBS, GE, Disney, Time Warner, Viacom. So ratings=the media is run by the Republicans? Name me another source that is NOT liberal based that gets credit?
What I was asking, was where does the "liberal media" tag come from? Every time a conservative has an issue with a news story, they immediately claim "liberal bias", which seemed odd to me since, again, the number 1 (by far) watched news channel is quite conservative.
Take our friend Christine O'Donnell...
"Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell's campaign threatened a radio station with a lawsuit if it posted video of an interview with the tea party favorite on the Internet.
"This is another example of the liberal media shamelessly attacking Christine O'Donnell to boost their ratings," Moran said in the statement, even though Jensen, the host of the show in question, is a well-known conservative."Comment

It's funny, you just can't see how ignorant saying that makes you sound.
While some news stations report mainly news of interest for people of certain political preferences (MSNBC, DailyKos, HuffingtonPost, The Nation), there is only ONE outfit that regularly reports lies and misinformation as fact. And it isn't a liberal organization. I understand though that it's hard for some minds to understand this distinction, so you probably don't understand my point. But that's okay, just assume I'm an idiot and go about your day feeling good about your ignorance.Comment

And sadly while we're all forced to fight a "culture war" with the same old religious right... ahem, I mean the Tea Party, huge corporations are increasing their international focus and shipping jobs to countries with desperate, cheap labor that they can exploit easier.
Since companies can just set up shop almost anywhere in the world now, I'm not sure if those old Sci-Fi movies where giant corporations ruled instead of government hasn't come to pass in at least some initial capacity.Comment

You say that like somehow there is a divide between the Tea Party and huge corporations.
Who do you think controls and directs the Tea Party?Last edited by BFT3K; 10-28-2010, 07:55 AM.Comment

Well, I think there IS a divide... but I do understand your point.
From what I see, the big corporations are trying to USE the Tea Party movement to put a fresh face on the Republican party whose image was so devastated by Bush. After all that happened, the fact that they've managed to accomplish this is just two years is amazing. I always knew a whole lot of people were stupid with short memories, but two years? Amazing.
That said, I think the religious right is ALSO trying to control the Tea Party, and their interests aren't 100% the same as the corporate Republicans. They are concerned about the social issues more than the "corporate freedom" issues.
I think you saw the two factions at work when Rove attacked O'Donnell on Fox. These corporate Republicans know they're playing with fire with these religious fanatics, but they also know they can't win without their mass ignorance because not many poor or working class people outside the religious right's influence are dumb enough to vote against their own interests. So when you're rich and want to push an agenda that favors you and your friends at the expense of 95% of the country, but you need 51% of the vote... how do you do that? Through ignorant religious fanatics worried about gay marriage and other "culture" issues that you really don't care about. So you give them the culture issues, and they give you power to run your companies in whatever crooked way you want.Comment

I can assume you're an idiot and ignorant because when I ask you to prove your assertion that FoxNews "regularly" reports lies, as opposed to outfits like MSNBC and the ones you've mentioned, you wouldn't be able to back this up. And if you can't back up your assertions, you're an idiot. See the logic? It's funny, you just can't see how ignorant saying that makes you sound.

I think Palin is entirely too selfish to give up Money for Service. Remember, she's the half-term quitting governor of alaska. Can you imagine the "presidenting is too hard" quitting speech? good god.
Did you know that in alaska, her approval numbers are lower than Obamas? Wow. I'm sure she cares.. not at all. But if a royalty check is late? I'm CERTAIN she cares, a LOT.
But it's just my opinion of course.
