Being on a submarine, I had 125 men I had to trust my life with, we worked together as a team in every way. Even loading stores we had officers in the line with us, like a fire bucket brigade loading box after box, you can't fit a pallet down a hatch. We went on the town in other countries in groups and you didn't fuck with us, we were shipmates!
We worked as a team loading weapons too, like torpedo's and some of the nastier things we carried. So I can relate to what you went thru, it's a life changer, one for the better. Sounds like this is something that you will carry with you for the rest of your life as anyone that had a positive adventure in the military will.

PS, Someone gave me negative rep for my post and called me an asshole, whoever that was doesn't have a fucking clue and I feel sorry for you!

How's the kiddo? The 3rd in 30 months joined us last Thursday.

She just hit 11 months and we are having the time of our life. I have missed out on a lot in such a small amount of time, but the past few weeks decompressing have been wonderful, partially or maybe even more because of her existence.

what is there to say? that there are miles and miles of oil covered marsh and the news pretends 74% of all oil from this spill is recovered?

I didnt believe CNN before i started the project and i have an even more adamant disdain for all public media now.

yah man, not doggin on you. you're a good dude. i also know some things about this spill from insiders sworn to secrecy. things that make you embarrassed to be american. im sure you know what i mean.

what i saw with my own eyes and got covered all over me will take years to clean if it ever will be... this area will be fishing up oil for the rest of my life.

its a mean distorted lie played on all those willing to believe it that this is anywhere near fixed.

I cant even begin to describe the natural horrors i saw, oil covered birds, porpoises, you name it swimming away from and ultimately dying because of....

the sunrises will never erase the death and suffering i witnessed. this is decades away from being cleaned if it will ever be, but they closed this site and the oil is here...

as soon as the well was capped they began a public campaign to minimize like it was done and over....

we were still sucking up frak tanks full of oil meanwhile gov and BP working to say its all cleaned up, they had camera crews filming us at lunch and on break trying to portray image of nothing to do, meanwhile were fighting to keep operation going...

its crazy i can go on...
