Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's sister-in-law is converting to Islam following a spiritual awakening in Iran.

Lauren Booth, 43, the half sister of Blair's wife, Cherie, announced her decision at a weekend Global Peace and Unity rally in London.

"What I wanted to share with you today is that I am Lauren Booth and I am a Muslim," she said to a cheering crowd.
