Why didn't you just e-mail or Skype me instead? You have my contact details.
Anyway, everything's coming along fine. About 30% done redeveloping the project from scratch, and I still have about 5 weeks left on the 2 month deadline you requested. Will be in touch shortly.xMarkPro -- Ultimate Blog Network Management

I am assuming that you are keeping up with updating the owner with necessary project development and answering any questions/concerns owner has right? Why didn't you just e-mail or Skype me instead? You have my contact details.

2 month deadline seems like a lot of programming is required. I'm sure you've also reserved about 2 weeks at the end, prior to deadline, to troubleshoot and fix everything that is broken?
Kinda like how our communication went

Matt, I see your on gfy now. What's the deal? Did you drop the ball on this client? Did you receive payment upfront for the work?Comment

E-mailed him a few days ago, and am awaiting response. Haven't heard anything back, but it's the weekend and mother's day, so he's probably busy.
Have to ask, why are you putting your nose in where it doesn't belong?xMarkPro -- Ultimate Blog Network Management

Reason being is because I happen to know Kevin. We were in a discussion about programmers who flake and I mentioned your name as one of them.
1) Remember the API I paid for that didn't work
2) Remember all the little shit that you did over a course of a month and many problems and I kept emailing you and no response?
2) Remember my server transfer I needed and you had all together stopped responding to my emails?
Was really strange that I mentioned your name first to Kevin as programmers who drop the ball and he was like.. that is who is suppose to do my project and he stopped responding to my emails.
See what I'm saying??Comment

I'll admit, you somewhat have me on that one. I developed an API, and all my tests showed it worked fine. However, your client didn't have the slightest clue how to integrate with a SOAP API, so after several complaints saying it simply doesn't work, I put 2 hours in for free to develop and package a .NET application, proving that it in fact does work.
You are right though, you did report a small problem, which I never looked into. That was at the same time both, my server and laptop crashed, and I lost literally everything, since the backups were being stored on each other. My apologies on that, and I'm sure it was either a problem in the client's integration or a simple 2 minute fix on my end. If there's a way I can make it up to you, please let me know.
I actually remember the opposite. I remember you constantly bugging me, and withholding payment until I took care of the most innate of details which weren't initially agreed upon. I took care of them all with a smile on my face though. You're a very detailed orientated guy, so you wouldn't of released funds until you were 100% satisfied, and you did release them.
That server transfer was a complete gong show for both of us, and probably me moreso. I'm sorry, but I'm not taking any responsibility whatsoever for the headache that caused you. I put in LOADS of hours with no charge during that. You want me to transfer several domains, databases, cron jobs, e-mail accounts, SSL certs, etc... then when I complain because I don't have SSH access, I get, "well, just do it through GoDaddy's web based file manager, and phpMyAdmin. Why is that so hard?!?!"Last edited by Kiopa_Matt; 05-08-2011, 07:14 PM.xMarkPro -- Ultimate Blog Network Management

I was transferring servers to dedico which is unmanaged from your recommendation...
wtf is wrong with you?
Also, I never witheld payment... paid you like clockwork. I started emailing you saying my shit isn't working.
Did you finish the project for Kevin? Did he have a chance to review? You know the answer... why don't you just make shit right instead of making excuses?
Same old, same old with fucking programmers. They think there shit deserves golden platters... if it doesn't work .... it's the anamoly of the internet and it just requires more money to keep going and make it right.
biggest racket on the internet... a programmers worth... lol
why don't you just do good by this client... cause I ain't hiring you againComment

You know full well that's not how it happened. I'm too tired to argue though. However, you have to admit, once I was given the ability to do my job without my hands tied behind my back, all sites, databases, and everything else was fully transferred over within 2 hours, and everything was 100%. The problem that time was the IPs on the server were shit, but that was out of my control.
I'll admit, you were a good paying client. Every dollar quoted was paid for, and never any problems with that. You were great in that respect. However, I'll also say a typical job that I quoted 3 hours for, ended up taking me 6+ hours because of "little changes" here and there. I put the extra hours in with a smile on my face, and no complaints.
Don't worry about it, that's between Kevin and myself. He has an e-mail sitting in his inbox from me. No, I'm not going to fuck him over. If he wants a refund, he'll get one, just as I offered him 2 months ago, and just as I offered him a few days ago. He refused the first time around, because he said he wanted me on the project. Previously, the project was 95% done, and he knows that because he had full access to the devel server. Bad string of luck though, and I lost everything, included his project. So now I have to redo the entire thing from scratch, and I'm willing to do that to honor the agreement I made with him.
However, no matter what happens, due to the delay I have to give him a good 50% discount on any amount owing, and I have a family of 7 living here that I'm ultimately responsible for. Making sure we all have shelter and food come before making sure his website is online.Last edited by Kiopa_Matt; 05-08-2011, 07:53 PM.xMarkPro -- Ultimate Blog Network Management
