The thing that sucks about the card is that you can't rent a card with it.
I flew to Montpellier this summer and wanted to rent a card with my epassporte card back then. They did not accept visa electron.
With the payoneer mastercard, it will be the same. They check the card to see if there is a chip on it. They only accept cards with such a chip at the rental stations. Cards without chip are pre-paid cards and they are not accepted at car rental stations.

All we can do is sit and wait - I also heard that it sometimes works if you try a couple of times, as the connection is sometimes back, then lost again.

I dunno how it works for you over there, I was a bit confused on Payoneer's FAQ regarding which type of account to use for withdrawals.

At the ATM I used (good for me, the one that is next door to my home works fine for Payoneer's card) I had to select Debit Card first, then Checking Account (I'm guessing the option of Savings Account would have worked as well).

"Ka-ching!" and I got my money. I did a little happy dance and everything (very geeky happy dance).

Yep... although, I suppose even though these things say Mastercard or Visa on them, they're just a prepaid "debit" card.. So checking would make sense... I just always used CC with the epass visa and never had a problem.
