in the uk, the nhs is offering some wizz bang tablets that make you want to stop, plus counserling.

my mate is doing it and has quit smoking.

if any of you are in the uk, contact your doctor about it.

if your not in the uk, heck why would you want to stop, as you have nothing worth living for. he he.

Just quit tobacco pouches (about 3-4 months free of them now), but can't seem to stop smoking.

Regular gum hurts my teeth after a while, and nicotine gum didn't work.

Thoughts on what I can try?

Stop buying cigarettes.

A practical trick that works is to take your pack of cigarettes and lighter right now, and carry them preferably to another floor of your home. If you are in a one story home, place them on top of the refrigerator. If you have 2 floors and you are on the top, the smokes stay on the bottom and vice versa. In short, stop keeping them within an easy reach! When you get that desire and do the automatic reach, you will remember that you are quitting and they are not there. The first few times you resist walking to the fridge, you will be rewarded with a dose of hooray brain juice and you are firmly on the road.

Eventually, you'll hold out longer than ever and have one more in the pack and you'll butt it out. Now you have to remember that you're not buying them anymore. If you are dying then raid an ashtray, smoke one of your butts. Pretty gross, so do it until you dont have anymore tobacco anywhere in the house. You should be done with it by now, so hold a mock funeral for all of your smoking gear. Throw your ashtrays in a shoebox and say goodbye to your old "friend" by tossing it in the dumpster, or bury it in the yard. Seriously. Those things have been part of you all these years, and you should mark their permanent passing.

You should try Blucigs
I cut down from a pack to about 4-5 cigs a day now, love smoking it at the Office...

I like the fact that you can smoke it just about anywhere :winkwink:

I'll have to remember this approach whenever I'm affiliating something...better than randomly spamming shit like most people do here, unless that's a regular cig chopped to have a blue tip, lol.

I'm serious about these e-cigs
I been off of cigarettes all month except a couple times when I was drunk
Even when I was drunk I had two one time and three another time

Today I thought I wanted a cigarette and half way through it I almost puked and threw it away

Unbelievable

I tried countless times to quit smoking over the years and nothing ever seemed to help stop my cravings. On March 11th I tried the patch for the first time. I have now been tobacco free for 7 months. It took a lot of will power but I would never have been able to quit cold turkey.
