I just googled it like you said and like 1/2 of the results referred to it as a scam.

1/2 those pages either are still selling our product or linking to some random product

google other brands and you will get the same results .. its a tactic they use

Yes, you can make sales... Depends a bit on your traffic though.. Never had a lot of luck with porn traffic...
