a better text than the original when it comes to business is "the art of war for executives".

anything by chip & dan heath

paco underhill's books

any book I can find relating to "how the mind works" or "how we make decisions" (i think these two names actually ARE books)

buyology

honestly don't even remember some of them anymore...i find that management books are all recycled garbage -- you're getting off reading a biography, or autobiography, of someone like Jack Welch, Richard Branson...etc. You get more of an understand of the background that lead them to how they lead instead of someone sitting behind a computer telling you, through text, how to lead.

I got an advance copy of How To Fuck Thousands of People Out of Millions of Dollars While Partying in Cabo (and Get Away With It) by Christopher Mallick. Good stuff. Right up there with OJ's revised book, How I'd Have Done It If I Did It (Which a Jury Says I Didn't (But Everyone Knows I Did Anyways)).

Ok, here are a few... I have thousands of great business/ marketing / sales, self improvement books in my library.

The Art of Seduction - Robert Greene - "get what you want by manipulating everyone's greatest weakness: The desire for pleasure

War: Robert Greene the 33 strategies of war; from the bloody battles of history, strategies for winning the subtle social game of everyday life

The 48 laws of Power - Robert Greene

If you didn't notice, I'm a fan of Robert Green, his books are well researched, applicable and entertaining... they're big volumes (average 400 pages) but are broken up into short articles, sidebars, etc. for reading in small batches. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Persuasion Engineering: Richard Bandler / Lavalle. NLP applied to sales & persuasion

Triggers - Joseph Sugarman. From the man who sold the world blu-blockers, 30 sales tools you can use to control the mind of your prospect to motivate, influence & persuade. Out of print, but available on amazon used for about $45.

Influence- Robert Cialdini- professor of psychology at ASU explores the science & practice of influence

Personal Development for Smart People - Steve Pavlina - popular personal dev. blogger steve pavlina's opus on ... you guessed it: personal development

Psycho-Cybernetics - Maxwell Maltz MD, FICS - a plastic surgeon, Maltz pioneered the concept of 'self-image' and created a set of tools to use your subconscious power for personal development. A pioneer in visualization, many of his techniques formed the base of what is now NLP (1960)

The E-Myth Revisited, E-myth Mastery, and Awakening the Entrepreneur within - Michael gerber... the E-myth is that business owners are entrepreneurs. But most are actually technitians who had an entreprenurial siezure - how to stop working IN your business and start working ON your business...

Those are a few of my favs, I have many many more...

For entertainment, read:
The Mafia Manager - by V. fucking hilarious, ruthless, entertaining, and true.
