It is 100% his right to dress like that. Personally it doesn't bother me. It takes a lot to offend me. However, if you are running for public office and you decide to do something that could be seen as offensive by some, you have to expect that they may speak out about it. Sadly this is true. Every year veterans of the Latvian Waffen-SS march in Riga to cheering crowds. The march takes place on March 16 and is an official holiday in Latvia called "Latvia Legions Day".
