How many sponsors do you think will use this epass debacle as an excuse not to pay affiliates...
I am already seeing some shady practices. As a program owner, I can see the turmoil shit like this creates, but as a jaded affiliate - I can smell the bullshit from a mile away... |

 | Most sponsors pay through other ways than Epassporte. More than 80% of sponsors should have other payment methods than Epassporte, shouldn't they?

 | If a sponsor you are using did not already stated his position regarding the epassporte shit, it smell bullshit anyway... don't you think? .

I can see the frustration this will cause foreign webmasters. I wish paypal and adult wasn't so shady.

 | One major company which I won't name was supposed to pay right before the epassporte visa shit happened. They didn't make the transfer to affiliates and instead requested their funding wire back. Affiliates apparently have to wait for them to get that money back from Epassporte before they will pay their affiliates for that period. All periods after that have been paid by other methods no problem. Now I've been told that it's the risk we take for being paid on epassporte. My position is that would be true had the money been transfered to MY wallet. If it had have been transfered, I'd have had credit card and ACH access to it for at least a little while. As it turns out by them taking action to safe guard my payment, I have so far ended up with no payment at all. In my mind that makes it the risk that THEY took in offering epassporte payouts. It would be MY risk if the money were stuck in my wallet. I think that's kind of a fuck over personally. Anyone else?

 | As am I. For "big" affiliates, I believe it's reasonable to conclude, a loss of somekind (payments) will be incurred. I saw the same shit happen when WebmasterChecks and iBill went under. |

 | I was wondering when someone would post about this, I am still waiting for checks that should have been here weeks ago, some from large, generally stand up companies that I have promoted for years.

I made millions of dollars as an affiliate getting checks and didn't switch to epass until 4 years ago or so because it would make my life "simpler". Boy was I wrong.

 | It seems like a lot of programs are in no way prepared to pay by check or wire anyways and have been caught with their pants down by this. I would expect some considerable disruption and whining for the foreseeable future. |
