    How to get 2580 x 1600 resolution

I have a XHD3000 Gateway 30" monitor and I got it to 2560x1600 resolution on a shitty Asus EEEbox with HDMI. I have since reformatted the EEEBox, and tried 2 other laptops, one with a 1GB video card and the best resolution I can get is 1900x1080. Any clue what I can do to get it at 25600x1600?

eeebox can't put out a resolution that high...

In fact they suck at running windows unless you have the top of the line one... I have three of the base ones, I converted them to Debian machines for my local dev environment. Low power consumption + cheap = awesome dev boxes :D

I could swear that the Eeebox one day with to 2560 x 1600 out of nowhere, I then formatted it soon after. But I got a $1200 laptop specifically to be able to use this resolution.

Exactly. You need an output+cable to support that if I'm right.

So HDMI cable won't support it?
