about 1200~ a day uniques across the network. 90%+ from Search engines. I get over 100% CTR to sponsors tours (not fhgs). Also get a suprisingly high amount of return traffic, bookmarkers/feed subscribers etc. Im guessing they like my writing style. I also use my blogs to feed my small niched TGPS. I have one tgp with only 2k total traffic per day but its converting its best sponsor (very closely matched to blogs themes) at 107:1 for 20 sales in the last 6 weeks... so obviously the blog feeder is buying as well as massively boosting my outgoing prod to tgp trades.

You can do a lot with blog traffic but dumping it onto sponsor provided FHGs is just about the worst way of monetizing the traffic possible imho.

I have a couple of blogs like this, but they dont feel the love from google to the same extent. End up needing 5 times as many posts to get traffic. The biggest diff ive noticed is that traffic only delivers to the root of the domain, individual post pages arent getting ranked at all. Unsuprising really. They are however a lot faster to create as can post ten title only posts in the time it takes to write one post. I dont have enough traffic on these kind of blogs to have any meaningful sales/ratio stats tho.

Your traffic conversion is about right....... do you think you can double your income by tweaking your 15 blogs or do you think that they are at their peak for you KW's?

well they have no traffic trades and little to no sidebar advertising, banners etc. So there is still alot that can be done with them. Everytime i add a batch of posts though the traffic jumps another notch within a couple of weeks. My plan is to keep adding posts until traffic growth plateaus at which point i will pickup another group of domains and start over. Most of these are a year old and despite at points, some, not being updated for six months +, traffic didnt nosedive or even decrease in the slightest.

In fact I have one blog site that is around 5 years old now with another 500+ posts on it and that has been getting a solid 600+ search traffic per day for 3 years or more. When it was updated regularly back in the day SE traffic was more like 1500 per day. In my opinion it takes a VERY long time for blogs to dissapear completely from the SERPS. That site earns fuck all from the blog section these days though as it was very general adult terms across a wide range of niches and without any real targetting of sponsors/keywords etc.

Look at the thumbs they look like they are from 1993 (which they probably are).

I suggest promoting quality sites with thumbs that don't look like they're from the 90's and taken with a disposable camera.
I understand what your saying about that sponsor.

As far as text goes no directory I know off will accept a blog without some text and linking a blog like that with anything would bring no SE hits or almost none.

About right? Its awesome! It would have been about right 3-4 years ago. Personally out of 1200 daily visitors to my blogs I would earn about 200$. And no I am not wasting visitors to fhg's either.

bellskids, Are your blogs micro niche or general/big niche ?

I wouldn't say micro niche. But they do target specific themes/keywords with pics and blog text relating solely to those keywords. Then several diff blogs link to sponsors who cater to several of those themes. Remember the 107:1 ratio I quoted was from a TGP being fed targetted traffic from the blogs. Not by the blogs themselves. Best sponsor on the blogs converting at about 700:1 but thats unsuprising when my blogs get about 120% CTR from blog to sponsor. If i sent the traffic through FHGs then I would prob get 4% or so CTR from FHG to tour at best hence the lower ratio at the TGP.

You can't think small in this business, or any business. Even from day 1 when I had no idea what I was doing I bought some domains and hosting and didn't mess with freehosts.

You've got a tonnes of low quality blogs that you can use as a source of links to something much bigger.

Buy a domain (.com or .net preferably) in the either the best niche you know and enjoy writing about or the most profitable.

Make 10 blog posts the first day (at least two paragraphs each and not too keyword spammy). Do your blog submissions as usual. Make some blog posts on your FH blogs in that niche that link to your new domain. Basically promote your new domain in those posts like you do a sponsors site. Also post some sidebar links in your FH blogs to your new domain. Don't do too many all at once though if you are talking hundreds of blogs. Bit at a time and vary your anchor text up.

Make one quality new post every day or every second day. I do a months worth in advance and schedule them in wordpress. Keep getting more hardlinks (preferably a-b-c). That's it. Keep it high quality.

You sound like a hard worker so doing that for just one domain of your own shouldn't be too much of a stretch and $10 or so for a domain and a little more for hosting is not much of a risk.

Mikesinner, you seem to only post gallery links?
How important is that for your success with blogs?
Wouldn't it be better to directly add the images of the gallery to your blog?

This thread has been a very interesting read for me as i am new in the business, just opened a new tube site built from scratch (ThePornGuru.com) and was trying to find ways to get more traffic.

Are blogs the way to go to drive traffic to a tube site or should i use other means? I see most of the blogs mike is making are going to a niche site that the user can buy a membership for.

For example i was thinking of buying a domain and making blogs on each subdomain about a specific niche, each of those blogs would be about videos on my tube site and a link to them. good idea or am i missing something? only thing i can see is that all links to my tube site will be from the same IP.

Pretty much never, unless it's such a failure after a year I deem it not worth the effort. Only happened once in a niche I was new to.

After 6 months or so I usually scale down how often I post to it. How often I will then update depends of how profitable is... usually once a week seems the point where it stays fresh.
