This is what I'm doing but using a unique domain and IP per blog, not 5-6 per day though hehe. Since I have like 400 unused domains at the moment and most are 2-3 generic keyword ones I will just continue to get those blogs up, get them directory submitted with 4-5 initial post then try and get at least 1 new unique post a week to them. The ones that bubble I put more effort in.

Be smart and set up a directory script on one of your domains, submit your blogs there, too and get some inbound links to the directory (e.g. A-B-C-D trades with your blogs and the directory). That way you will generate additional traffic and increase the power of your blogs.Comment

jezzz 5 a day? how many hours do you spend doing this? it's so tedious... all those links and writing meta descriptions.... wow. props to youI made a thread a week ago about looking for help to start a tube site with serious traffic but I realize that I must set up completed work so I can have time to deal with that project.
This means I must complete 5-6 blogs a day (50 + blog posts).
This is becoming a real chore foe me and although I am getting my work quota done the blog posts are getting smaller and looking worse. I'm pretty sure the directories I submit to will still accept them though.
Here are stats so far this month. Comes out to $2,700 if I maintain this so 3k is not impossible. Last month I did really well with pimpmansion but others here have said I should be using another dating sponsor.

All traffic is from free hosted blogs. I told myself that I wouldn't make any TLD blogs or my own sub domain blogs until I prove to myself that I can pull 3k/month for at least 2-3 months straight with free hosted stuff but I think that might be holding me back. I still don't feel like I know that much about blogging though.
The thing is I know html but that's about it and I think I will need to know more than that to run my own blogs. I want to be able to run a trade script and be able to control my sidebars across all my blogs.
I want to get my SEO down better.
Right now I just make 10 post blogs and dump them to about 2-3 directory submitters. This ends up being about 20-30 reciprocal links for each blog. These are dump and forget blogs. I do reuse the content at least once on another blog but it's still submit and forget.
I have been working on some blogs on a second free host that is set up with WPMU. I use the oldest to newest widget on these but I still haven't started linking these much.
I really feel I need to try new things but I must get more done in order to build something new or have the time to learn how to build something.
I'm looking for ideas here in this thread. Take a look at some of my blogs if you want to. Look directly at my incoming stats from sponsors.
Give me new sponsors, new niches, new ideas.
I would really like to make more than this or at least hit 3k every month. I'd really like to be able to take my mom out to dinner every night. Her health isn't good and I don't know how long she has left.
Also last month I barely pulled in 2k which was about %15 higher than last year for that month but my traffic is down %15 as well. I have this overwhelming feeling that everything is going downhill from here but I don't if this is something psychologically wrong or a result of some of the bs I've had to deal with this year both online and off.

I will probably post some blogs in this thread and see how they do after I get more advice here.

Mike, for someone making nearly 3k a month out of FH blogs, I think you already know how to blog
The problem is, that you have to make several of those blogs every day, because all you are doing with them is submitting them to directories to get traffic for sales. Because once they fall further down the directory pages (or disappear altogether), you stop getting traffic to them.
It's a situation you could keep going for ever, but probably never reach over 3k a month in the current economic climate.
Why not go over your thousands of blogs and see if any have PR?
I know it's not worth that much in terms of rankings, but those that do have PR would be the ones to use to give yourself some backlinks to the blogs you make on your own hosting.
That way you wouldn't need to submit your own hosted blogs to so many directories. Just make posts on the better FH ones linking in to them.
It would be a slower process to begin with, but your new, own hosted blogs would have much more staying power.Comment

Hear hear, this man speaks the truth. Lasting sites are always quality sites (unless you're just force feeding them traffic). Take a step back and ask yourself whose opinion you would trust more to recommend a site to you... a fly by night throw away blog? or a well done site targeted to what you're looking for? Make people stop when they get to your blog(s) and want to look around rather than just pass through...

For subdomains (subdomain.porn-kingdom.com) you have to be using the main domain on a hosting account, you can't do it with an addon domain as far as i'm aware.↑ see post ↑

You guys that are asking me for advice are asking the wrong guy. This is like 3k blogs so really only 3-4 hits a day to each blog.
I really have no idea what I am doing anymore. I need to start from scratch and dissect everything I'm doing.
Many of the blog directory owners and free hosts are fucking over their own webmasters by removing links and fucking up their submissions.
It's not a reliable source of traffic like it use to be. You really have to throw a lot of blogs up to catch any traffic in your net this way.
That's why I started this thread. I'm ready to try some blogs on my own hosting. I should be able to get something started here soon.Comment

That's always been the problem with Free hosts and many of the directories. Free hosts are notorious for folding or having problems.
I used to submit blogs to Twan's directories from Thumblogger as well. The problem was getting listed wasn't always as consistent as it should be. Then it's just a raw deal because if you actually drive traffic to your blogs, eventually you'll end up sending them 200 clicks a day while they will send you 3. If they even keep you listed at all. It would be good for blogs intended only for generating traffic from directories and search engines save for the problem getting and remaining listed in the directories.
