Google always tries things out. And they do shut down services. So nobody says they couldn't shut down this one.

Do they have an API? Do they allow adult links? That's the things I would look into.
Some url shorterners will kill your links if they find out its porn!

You may stop using the Services at any time. You do not need to specifically inform Google when you stop using the Services.

They even wrote it in their TOS. They can shut it down if they find that not enough people are using it.
That in turn will keep people from using it.

ya until google makes it so you can assign the api key to your google account its pretty much useless for stats.

Exactly. I've never understood newbies using hosted services that they have no control over. I have my own URL shortener so bit.ly or tunyurl are completely unnecessary. I use piwik so google analytics isn't necessary. Webmasters should become more self-sufficient.
