Webwhores: do you use a DB or SS or ? to keep track of customers?

Question for personality site/solo girl site owners, camgirls, etc.: do you use anything to keep track of your customers, how much they're spending and where? If so, what are you using? What is/are your method(s)?

I've always tried to take notes on customers, like making a note of where they're from and what they like (for cam & phone customers) but it's almost counterproductive/impossible to organize the information when you want to be able to organize dudes by length of loyalty (no, that's not a euphemism ;), how much they've spent and where, etc. Using a regular spreadsheet isn't giving me enough room to really take notes on their fetishes, etc. or multiple purchases but I don't want to buy some overblown CRM with invoicing, etc. Basically I need to prioritize which guys I'll actually waste time interacting with via email, who I should contact every so often just to say "thanks", and keep on top of big spenders on cam and what they're into, etc. With all their different usernames, handles, aliases, etc. it's hard to keep track of them without some kind of method. Ideas? |

I would say write up the fields you want, then have some cheap program at a site like odesk.com write you a simple PHP / mysql script with search. It shouldn't cost you more than $20 or $30

Basically ask for things like name fetishes gifts purchased likes dislikes dog's name whatever - fields you want to keep up with. Then you can have the list sorted by name alphabetically or you can search for a custom by name or email. You can click the name and EDIT the entry or you can click ADD NEW entry and simply fill out a form to add a new client to track.

Still curious if any chicks are doing this and if so, using what. When asking around on twitter most just try to take notes on paper or in a simple spreadsheet. When I get an email from somebody I need to be able to cross-reference it amongst all their different aliases FAST to find out if it's someone who deserves an immediate rimjob or not. It's tricky when you have customers on so many different platforms. I wish ccbill had a way to add notes to customer records. |
