Epoch

Have seen a lot of good posts about Epoch here. Does it mean that they have paid back the money they stole some years ago?
I have not received my holdbacks for the year 2000 yet..........

Monro,

You can learn more about the truth at http://www.paycom.net/lawsuit.pdf. It's no secret. And yes, all the money that was owed has been repaid. This amounts to millions of dollars that Epoch paid to webmasters that Epoch never collected. If that does not speak to the ethics and strength of our company, I don't know what does.

As for all the good posts, we appreicate the support.

Master Yoba, where did you send your email? Write to me and I'll insure that you get a response today.

Just so I understand correctly... any account that is using the standard join forms and not the flex post, is already using the epassport??

Yes. Upon a denied transaction, the surfer is offered the choicec between using an online check (for domestic orders) or using an epassporte to join your site. This feature only launched this week and has already yielded excellant results. The sale would simply appear as a Visa transaction. Epassporte Visa.

Yes, for non-Visa transactions, this is happening now. We don't have any plans for non-US based Sponsored Merchants at this time.

I will give Epoch credit for being the most dynamic IPSP out there. The question is, can they handle the heat? I see sites who bill with them charging $10 for a SINGLE DAY of membership to cover their ridiculous webmaster margins, and I ask myself how many chargebacks that sneakiness alone will produce.

But if you guys have your act together (or if you're just going to keep canning accounts of webmasters who screw around) more power to you. Webmasters who used to have no hope of getting a working merchant account can now overcharge, cross-bill, and give free trials away again.

Yoba,

You may not have provided enough information to get a quote on a rate. Rates are based on factors such as the type of account (3rd party or your own merchant account) sales volume, etc...

You might want to call us directly and speak to one of our representatives personally so that all of your questions can be addressed properly.

Pleaase not harassing me for asking! How many post must I supply for be allowed to ask Epoch something?
If this the tone of Epoch now I'm glad I'm using ccbill, "my regular activity"

Yes, Epoch stole from me and I am not paid yet and will never be.... I have got no info whatsoever during the years.

When you stopped paying you owed us $12000 , but we recovered all but the holdbacks in a funny way.

You have to give me more man!!!!!!!!

You got me blinded reading nearly that entire document. I read about the millions that were stolen from you from the umpteen different methods used. I keep reading and get to the amount of damages paycom suffered and that it would be determined in court.

Then nothing. I have never read or looked into this as it never effected me.

Has this been resolved and paycom just isn't able to collect or is it still in the courts?

I gotta know man, I've been reading a blinding file for an hour!

By the way, I don't have any paysites yet but you have definately sold me on Epoch being a solid company. Will definately be my first choice as long as your fees are competitive.

Thanks.

Of course.
One of the reasons ( of many ) they claimed where that our swift code/address was wrong and our money was "out in limbo"
( Had worked perfect a year )
One evening when my wife was checking our bank account she yelled: come and look! Epoch had transferred $30000 in a wrong bank account, ours! As being honest people we paid back of course but not the amount they owed us......
But we made sure to have that in writing before sending the difference back.
We did not collect the holdbacks, that was a mistake.

I smell something, sniff sniff, oh yeah! BULLSH*T!

I used Epoch as a CC processor on a pay site (nakedyouth.com) a few years ago and when Epoch got into shit, they ended up owing me $30k. ONLY after threatening them with a letter from our lawyer did they pay out $10k of that money with the understanding that the remainder would be paid out in six months once all possible chargebacks etc where cleared. This was fair enough as it wasn't entirely Epoch's fault that so much money became frozen.

Now I read, from Epoch themselves, that ALL monies have been repaid.

BULLSH*T! I'm still waiting for my $20k.

I've been a little too busy recently to get back onto this subject, but after reading this crap I will be contacting my lawyer to get my money back.

There are more doc's if you want some more reading material.

But to answer your question, a small portion of the $$ was colleccted shortly after the lawsuit began, but by far the vast majority is still tied up in litigation. The millions we paid out did not come from the collection of the funds we were owed, but, we found ways to pay them anyway and as of the first week of January all has been repaid.

Thanks for the props and when you're ready to have some paysites of your own look me up. Would love to have you on board. Taking the time to read the lawsuit speaks volumes to me. I bet the majority of existing Epoch clients never bothered. Anyone who does will surely understand what we've been through. Our clients stuck by us and we've finally proven that their trust was not mispalced.

Carl, I'm not going to get on your shit because it's simply a matter of misunderstanding. The $$ discussed as being repaid was from uncollected processing, which is still uncollected, but that we paid out to our clients and their affiliates anyway. I think I posted somewhere that it was 23 million but I was corrected by our attorney's. It was closer to $30 million. That's a lotta bling.

The money you are talking about is your reserves. If you are no longer processing with us, your hold-back was probably frozen acording to the terms of your contract for a speciifed period of time. You should contact me directly on Monday and I will personally find out the status of your funds. I'm not trippin', just here to help. And if you're still willing to look at how we can help
Dream Media make more money, you might want to look at us again. Epoch has reinvented itself and you are welcome back.

Monro,

That's indeed a weird way to get your money. Might have something to do with some cool karma you have going on. I don't think I know you so I can't say for sure, but I always see things like that as karmic intervention. (spell that right?)

Anyway, get with me Monday and let me know what your account was and I'll look into any issues you think exist.

If you're reading this thread, you know what's what. Get in touch with me.

Yea, I read them. Most businesses hit with that much at once would have paid nobody.

Oh yea, how are you associated with Epoch? I haven't been here long enough to know.

I had a few good ideas and was wondering if they could be implemented with your services. Thanks.

Interesting reading Rand. After skimming through the doc, I'm a little nervous. My merchant account is also through Banco Uno and set up by Blaugrund and PRI. I also had strong suspicions about the amount of control PRI had over the account.

I'd be nervous too if I were you. Always have a back-up plan. Talk to me if you want to get a 3rd party account set up for back-up and denied trans going to epassporte.

The lawsuit is posted on our webiste for several reasons. One of which is so that guys like you can read it.

I don't now about you, but whenever I have a nervous gut feeling, I'm usually right on the money.

I've been with Epoch since 1998 when they were only about 13 people. I've grown with them and learned A LOT along the way. I stayed with them because of their vision and their dedication to their client base. Any ideas you'd like to toss about we can discuss if you like. Drop me a line or give me a call.
