CMeNude.com and PayPal
As you all know, CMeNude.com is a site my girlfriend Sierra and my cousin Tiffany are creating together (seriously: Sierra photos my cousin - there's nothing weird going on here - just wanted to clear that up).
Anyway... someone earlier posted about how PayPal users are quick to part with their money. That made a lot of sense so I told Sierra she should make an introductory offer to all 2,500 + members of her MSN Community and all 9,800 + members of MY MSN Community for a 1 year membership for $25 if they sign up using Pay Pal. I was talking to one of the guys from Ampland on the telephone and he told me $25 bucks for a full year is still a money maker. He pointed out that since bandwidth is so cheap there's no way to lose. At 50 cents per gig each member will only cost 50 cents at the most over the course of a year. It's not likely a member will download more than a gig of material in a year. As the amount of content on the site builds we can eventually switch over to CCBill and open an affiliate program. What do you think? |

You're always gonna shoot yourself in the foot going yearly.
If you really want a low price go to like 5$ a month or something. They won't bitch at that price. If you're not planning to retain them, perhaps you're better to get money up front.. But remember - it's an old sales rule.. If something's cheap, people often think that it's cheap, if you get my drift. Cheers, Backov

Do it! You never know until you try. If it was me, I would give it a shot. On the other hand, I would do mostly image updates. If you do a lot of video updates, you may run into trouble.

I helped Sierra put up a PayPal button. We'll see how well it works and pull it if nothing good happens. The site is brand new and Sierra and Tiff's first shot at their own site so there's really not much to lose. |

I agree with Backov
a long time ago when i first started i did 1 year memberships and even a few lifetime memberships dam! those fuckers never died???? lol but on a serious note you might end up putting video or plugins on your site and that will use more bandwidth. Cheers, BV ps: i know you took of the atk links at the top of your site, but the msn free pics link might distract or delay a buyer. (especially from your affiliates point of view) It is very easy to clone a tour to send your affiliate traffic and keep your main url for your own traffic. |
