This "certification" requirement is stupid and impossible. 1. Who exactly is going to certify that a bill is Constitutional? 2. Only the Supreme Court has the power to decide which laws are Constitutional or not...and in these instances the Supreme Court only hears *actual* cases where somebody is *actually* injured because of a Unconstitutional law. |
omg i've been had... Too!

do you know how many fortune 500 companies limit their tax obligations by forming corporations outside of the US? a lot... do you know how many companies set up in Dubai to do business in the middle east and limit their tax exposure? a lot... its time for the US to stop giving incentives for corporations to do business outside of their home countries.. china is the best example.. we allowed companies to benefit by sending manufacturing west and actually rewarded them to do so... . |
They will get in, do nothing and blame obama. If the bush tax cuts were so good for the country they controlled it all. Why didnt they make them permanent ?
Also Bush gave all those tax breaks to the rich and wages were flat and jobs were being sent off shore as fast as possible. If it wasnt for the housing balloon this all would of been felt alot sooner. Also I find it so amusing when people say government is awful creates nothing and they made their money online. If it wasnt for government funding there would be no internet. "Marc Andreessen: Mosaic was built at the University of Illinois. I was an undergrad student, but I was also a staff member at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, which is basically a federally funded research institute. When Al Gore says that he created the Internet, he means that he funded these four national supercomputing centers. Federal funding was critical. I tease my libertarian friends—they all think the Internet is the greatest thing. And I’m like, Yeah, thanks to government funding." |

Tax cuts for the wealthy.. get rid of health care for the poor... spend more on defense.
Sounds like a plan.. |
if anyone sees anything in it that seems new, something bold that hasn't been tried before, please point it out. maybe I have policy blindness, don't see much yet.
the dems havn't done anything new - well, the credit card reform thing, and we simply have no idea what the health insurance bill will accomplish, so maybe there is something new in it. i'm curious what republicans think is new and bold. oh right, the constitutional certification, maybe thats new. cutting congresses internal budget - sounds good. is it new? it's a meaninglessly small amount, but sure why not. why haven't the republicans done it unilaterally? |

So here is the ACTUAL pledge....
Just in case anyone is interested in actually reading something that they are debating about.... (unlike our congress) http://www.scribd.com/doc/37958976/G...dge-to-America . |

Even today, my mainstream business purchases products including shipping from China for less than the cost of the raw materiels in America. The Chinese government still has a 9% VAT for their manufacturing industry for every dollar of product they export. If you own stock in American manufacturing you are part of the problem. You invested in those US companies and expect a return. US corporations clearly satisfied their investors by going offshore and cutting costs. The good news I see now is that China is getting more expensive every month we order. It gets to a point with having to wait for 8weeks for products and having to pay for those products prior to shipping makes bring things back to the US a lot easier. We are seeing a lot of that with our customers now. China was palitable when they were dirt cheap. Their quality is still bad, there still is a 12 hour time difference and it still takes to long. US manufacturing is coming back. We added 28 new jobs this year and when our new building is completed will add at least that many more. |

so we dont pay for abortions and end up paying for 18 years of the kids life and more when they are sent to prison... . |
They talk about tax cuts for small business but they vote one down last week.they are so full of shit lol

The question is, which party is going to screw up our economy less. At this point, it seems like the Republicans.
|
"We pledge to honor families, traditional marriage, life, and the private and faith-based organizations that form the core of our American values."
Fuck republicans. |

didnt gingrich do this one back during clinton admin?
damn....Déjà vu |
The plan is tax cuts for the rich and nothing else. It's not even a plan, it's a pretend thingy. A 'pledge' to remain the party of no for for as long as they can get away with it.
They're snatching defeat from the arms of victory with this shit. |
"We will fight efforts to use a national crisis for political gain."
and i want a copy of that image for their version of 'health care' this is the biggest joke in the world |
Sounds like a return to the status quo, and shooting down any and all progressive policies to keep the rich laughing all the way to the bank as usual. We do not need missile defense, nor to deal with Iran. That is nothing more than throwing more money at the military industrial complex. Leave Iran to the Israeli's. As for those cap and spend policies. Comical considering the 8 years of Bush and Republican's controlling both houses lead to some of the highest debt ever for this country. :2 cents: |

Remember the last "Contract with America" by the minority GOP Congress in 1994. How many of those EIGHT items did they follow through and deliver?
Just ONE! |

I have total faith that the GOP will work for the richest american individuals and huge corporations. In addition, I have faith that they will try to undo all of Obama's progress because idiots think he's an illegal kenyan muslim.
