— Two men have filed a lawsuit accusing Bishop Eddie Long of exploiting his role as pastor of an Atlanta-area megachurch to coerce them into sexual relationships when they were young members of his congregation.

The men were 17- and 18-year-old members of Long's New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, when they say Long abused his spiritual authority to seduce them with with cars, money, clothes, jewelry, international trips and access to celebrities.

B.J. Bernstein, an attorney representing the plaintiffs, said that when the relationships started, the plaintiffs were past the legal age of consent in Georgia, which is 15.

My company got involved with a group of ministers(one of who is mentioned in this thread) that wanted to establish an internet presense. This involved websites, a call center for donations, dialup internet service with net nanny on steroids that blocked sites except theirs and ones they approved, and so on. We went live, and things were crazy. The callcenter was busy from the moment it opened, until it closed at night. People were ordering the "family" internet package, and in general things were rolling.
About 45 days after the launch, the first invoices started coming due, and the ministers simply didn't want to pay for this, even though they had agreements on what percentage of the take went to each minister. They loved the money rolling in, but didn't want to pay for it.
We eventually had to take down everything and sent the lawyers after them. Naturally, these poor ministers didn't have a dime in their name, even though they had mansions, luxury cars, book deals etc. I don't know where it ended up, but I keep seeing these jackwads on TV preaching that they need that money sent in to keep their "ministry" going.
