    Angel? Partner? Sell Out? Suggestions?

    Hi!

    I have a website: Kink Work. The link is at the bottom. I love doing the research, and I'm looking forward to creating a resource that lists every independent adult entertainer, and the resources for those entertainers. But I'm not so wild about doing the coding.

    It's in HTML now, which means that as I add things every day, I'm mucking with the actual code and reloading the site.

    It's not efficient or very secure for that matter.

    So I'm wondering what I should do with it.

    Find an Angel and pay for the coding? Find a partner?

    Sell the idea to someone who can do it better with the agreement that I'll finish the data aggregation?

    What would you do?

      Hi Ali,

      Have an angel write you a small script to do the admin part for you which will render the list on the front page, or just write a text file reader which will parse it for you so you can enter it all in as you would like.

      Hit me up on icq it shouldn't be a big task to do (I don't really mind throwing something together as it is simple enough to do, and I have already written file readers & parsers)

              good point, I would help out (for a quick one), anything in depth then I would have to charge for it (not alot thou)

                      Pretty sure angels are referring to angel investors to help raise the cash to get the job coded. While the site CAN be done in html it will just create a nightmare for updating things and really the best choice would be a custom setup.

                      My 2 cents are even if you went with a free CMS for the templates like wordpress, joomla or drupal. Odds are you could get most of your features and get SOME ease of updating. Best part is these tools all look much more frightening than they really are and they are free.

                          i think it's bigdotmedia has Model Index v1.... I plan on purchasing, but haven't yet so I can't comment on how good it is. But it sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

                              In short, for a small quick script (which your question sounds like it is after) then find someone who can write one for you that would have the functionality you desire, after that then you can build your site however you please and use different methods to input the required information depending upon what options you are wanting to use and the layout of import files.

                              I hate knowing how to write small functional codings
