                                                                              I know most of you guys don't care about this, but Wondershare is yet another one of those Chinese software outfits that take open source projects like FFmpeg, x264, MEncoder, and many others, and then sell a wrapper over it, all against GPL licensing. They never provide source, and to date I don't think they even acknowledge they use GPL-based code or binaries.

                                                                              I don't know about you, but I'd be just a bit careful about installing "free" software from some outfit in the middle of China. What's included in their installer package to offset giving it away for free? Maybe it's okay, but I'll let others here try it out first.

                                                                                                                  jwplayer has a watermark if its the free verision, paid is like $49 *I think*.

                                                                                                                                  Well, I thought this too, and I generally avoid anything free but to balance this, the thread was started by Fris, who seems to know his stuff, and I need something like this so I decided to try it and installed it on a machine with kaspersky pure.

                                                                                                                                  Unfortunately it didn't really like it, first observing the lack of digital signature and then suggesting some of its "potentially dangerous operations" should be blocked, which I let it do, and then of course it didn't work, so I uninstalled it.

                                                                                                                                  I know sometimes these programs over-react, but reality is who know what any software actually does on your pc nowadays?
