That sucks. I always check preview post first, and it worked for me. Ain't working now, though.

And the real deal. God bless you, Elvis. God bless you Scotty Moore.

I would trade you all of your Kanye's and all of your Lady Gaga's for one more song from this man.

I linked to a different video. In my original post, the vid worked. I came back ten minutes later and it didn't work. So, I had to find another version.

Consider this an addendum. Scotty Moore (from the Elvis video above) is often credited as the man who originated "rock and roll lead guitar".

That might work if you're white - as I am - but no-one can touch Chuck Berry as the founder of rock and roll lead guitar.

Finally, my "ancient guitar player" threads always seem to get shot doon by some idiot saying:

Golly gosh, the unknown guitars players toiling anonymously in unheard of bands are soooo much better than Chuck, than Keith, than Les Paul, than Chet - better than Jimi, even!
                    And I cry.

There is not one fucking guitar player alive today who can carry a stadium tour on his own. There is not one single rock guitar player who can do the talkshow tour and sell a half million units based on his guitar playing.

Not one. Not Eddie. Not Slash. Not Jack White. There are no real rock guitar players left. Rock guitar is dead.

I'm going to quit with a little seminar from the Reverand Billy G, and the brother of the greatest white guitar player who ever graced this planet, Jimmy Vaughn.

These lessons will continue intermittently as time passes. For now, realize that no matter how fast your favourite guitar player shreds - including Yngwie, Steve Vai, and Satchmo, (all dudes I listened to in the eighties - try to get a bit more relevant if you want to argue) - What they do is irrelevant when it boils down to rock and roll. They do not sell out stadiums, and no-one gives a shit whether they live or die.

When Jimi released an album, a half million people would flock to watch jim play. Today? Not so much.

Rock guitar is dead. Flailing wankers will not save it. Actually, they killed it.

Thanks for sharing things I had forgotten.
One thing led to another and I just spent 7min 41sec with Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Now I'm gonna go grab my Keb Mo fix
