I think this topic should have a seperate thread of its own. Finding out the true owners of each site requires quite a lot of detective work.

Simply looking at the WHOIS info will mislead you.

One should make a list of illegal tubes, and a list of illegal filesharing hosts. Then the clever minds of GFY can unravel the identities of each site. One by one.

But such investigation could collide with GFY's rule on not disclosing personal information.

Maybe it can be done on a blog instead?

Hey, if I put selected videos on a tube site, I have ZERO problem with that. That is a traffic source. However, the key is that it is ME putting them up there and limiting what is seen. I've had some of these cock suckers load every video in a members area before. How do you profit from that?

Naw, I don't think it's that, it is just them responding to the take down notice. It can take anywhere from 15 minutes to a few days for someone to respond.

I've tried uploading my promo material to tube sites and got blocked. Apparently they'd rather upload my content for me.

1) Why would you think I only send take downs to tubes? They are just part of the problem. Just because I don't list every possible possible situation in where someone is stealing my videos, it doesn't mean I don't deal with them. Get your head out of your ass.

2) I allow some content on tubes, but it's what I choose, not them. If it's anything but, it comes down. PROMO is fine. It's my full length NON-PROMO videos that are the issue.

3) When it comes to having non-promo material removed, it's not a losing battle. You only lost because you either never tried hard enough or you're a quitter.

So LOL your ass back to wherever you came from and keep supporting piracy. I'm doing just fine, thank you.

Yes, a lot of them will block you. And yes, some would rather upload your full scenes than you load promo material.

I was trying to work with a shemale tube site not too long ago, they told me they wouldn't accept anything I submitted under 15 minutes in length. I passed.

We run a tube site and I have to agree that having full scenes is an industry killer.

We stick to affiliate content, most being 3 min trailers, and a few longer trailers, but all provided by the copyright holders and linked with sponsor banners next to all videos and download buttons linking to the respective sites below the player.

I don't see how this can't be a win win situation for all. Hit me up if you want to get some affiliate content on our site, check the sig for the url.

Cambaby, I do understand that there is content on file hosts. But Tube sites have a far larger audience to the conveniency. It's the difference between switching on the tv, or going down to the video store. That's why tube sites are much more damaging in my opinion. If they show full scenes etc.

Both types of sites hurt sales.

Who said that no one is going after the file hosts? The only problem is that we cannot go after them legally (yet), so we have to be creative. As I see it right now there are only two options: Violence or hacking.
