is it just me or is baseball 90% luck??

it doesnt even make sense.. look at the spreads/bookies, nobody can call any game.. i can flip a coin and its same odds on who will win the game...

Today a team wins 12-2, tomorrow they lose to the same team 10-0

if it wasnt mostly luck, then explain why no team dominates?lol

in nba, if lakers play supersonics for finals, im 100% sure lakers will win.. try doing that with baseball..

so now it makes me wonder why anyone even plays this game.. I always look for handicapper advice before each game, and i lol because 10 experts split 50/50 on the winner of the game.lols

Baseball was more predictable before the introduction of wild cards. I think baseball is more a game of averages. You can't see the stats at work during a single game.. but over the course of a 162 games the difference between a guy who hits around .250 and a guy who hits around .300 translates into many more hits.

It's a different kind of game- in basketball Kobe can just take it to the hole- in football you can generally, with a good qb, get into scoring position- Baseball is a game of averages and percentages- no player is able to do what they want at will unlike other sports- but it's not luck, even though it does seem like it.

right, i follow forums for betting, nobody can call the winner on any game.. they call it and its a 50-50 chance..

but in soccer, if spain plays costa rica, you are 100% sure spain will win..

if lakers play nets, u are 99% sure nets will win..

in baseball, u never know.. anyone can win...

As said above it's all pitching rotations.

It's one of the great things about the sport. At the beginning of the season you know that every team will win 50 games and every team will lose 50 games. It's the remaining 62 that count.

that too.. i nevr really watched baseball but started to follow it.. im like this is sport? its 80% luck, 20% skill.. you never know what day ull get hits..

kinda sucks.. u lose to a team by 10 points, and the next day they score nothing, and you beat them 1-0
