Definitely the best way to go is to download gotomypc on your desktop, then use it to access your desktop from your laptop, and you can then go to GFY via your desktop.

Actually I keep the vast majority of my most sensitive data at home, and simply access it remotely with my laptop by using gotomypc.

buy some VPN accounts...
they cost like $5 - $10/month and can keep your privacy and allow you unlimited access...
