I'd only quit after 20M. That's enough to put away some for security, and be able to live a nice life with the rest.

What I would think about.

I would think about hiring a staff to keep my business running and a high paid manager to keep the staff right and alot of surveillance to keep the manager right.

I would monitor my surveillance via satellite while on vacation every other month. That way I could have a regular income and still be retired.

If your thinking about getting out of the business that made you $2 million you should consider letting somebody run it for you.

$2M should be good enough fro my entire life here. It's 60.000 CZK, and when beer in pub costs me 15 CZK, bread 20 CZK, box of Lucky Strikes 50 CZK, indoor grown weed 150 to 200 CZK/gram, and so, 6000000 should pay my needs for whole life.

Quit on $2 Mil??? That doesn't go very far these days. If you live a decently nice lifestyle you'll go through $250K a year easy.

And don't forget shit happens all the time, in fact 90% of the time when you are making investments with large sums of money.

I have 100,000 shares of one tech stock for example that at its peak just a couple years back was at $17 a share, and was expected to go for another $8 upward. The CEO was begging all the large shareholders to hold, meanwhile he was dumping and cashing out. $2 Mil like on this one stock would be a nice nest egg for the average person and most would figure they could live on that alone. However it got massacered in the tech downward spiral shit hole and it was at a penny for a while and now just disappered off the charts and is delisted.

So never count your eggs and think they'll stay fresh in the basket forever. Most will crack and spoil.

Stocktrader23 is right. It doesn't make much since to quit in this business. Let it run on autopilot.

You can live pretty extravagantly on 250k USD per year.

I'm a wealthy guy and I don't go through anything like that.

But it's foolish to just stop your business cold. Get someone to run it on commission and split the income with them. If you don;t want to have your name associated with adult any longer then get a numbered shell company to hold it.

1) Any of you who says 2 million is nothing do not have any millions at all.

2) 2 million is MORE then enough to retire

3) a person that has reached 2 million is probably spending around $3,000 a month in expenses, thats like $36,000 a year.

A person does not become a millionaire by spending and living at $250k a year.

and the BIGGEST thing here is

NONE/99% of you on this board will NEVER make $20 million dollars.
You have NO idea how much money that is.
laughable pipe dreams thats about it.

No name calling please, all boys and girls play nicely.

if you got something to say, back it up with some facts and reason, otherwise shut the fuck up and get back in your seats and raise your hand if you have a question.

What the hell is the obsession some of you have that a manager can continue a successful internet business someone else built? Most of the time if not always it's impossible. Maybe that's the case for a big established sponsor that things after some time is just another successful week. 2mil in cash are a lot of money and as Mr Blign said,20millions nearly very few will make in this industry.

2 million? Free and clear after taxes?
I'd be so gone.

Most people work hard their whole lives and cant save a fraction of that by retirement.

thats cause you work your entire life... if i stopped at the age I am at now, and tried to live off of 2 million forever without any other income, that would be near impossible.

DITTO That.

$2 Million at a young age isn't anything to start with.

$2 Million 10 years from now won't be worth the same it is now.

And the reason people don't make $20 Million in this business is the same for any other. They don't try. Everyone says they want X amount but when you live a pretty good life and don't work as much as you would have to to make that much more they get complacent.

If you think its a longshot to make $20 million in this industry what industry is it easier in? I would much rather have the opportunities adult provides over a brick and mortar store for instance.

With 1.5 million dollars you could buy 2 decent multi family houses in decent neighborhoods free and clear and rent out all the units.

50% of the rent you collect would go to property managment, water bills and taxes and the rest you keep. As inflation goes up so do the rents and the property values.

Take out 100k and stick it in the bank for a rainy day.

That still leaves you with 400k to stick into a fairly safe index fund for retirement.

If youre young that 400k will be worth a lot by the time youre at retirement age.

I've never met a young person who had $400k in mutual fund investments and 1.5 million in property investments.

I'd think you'd be going pretty good.

So end the business making you a profit and invest in something you hope will. Who said rates are going up and who the hell ever said you profit 50% from it? Some do some dont. All it takes is a few idiots destroying your nice property for you to pay more. Why not keep the one making money until it's not. Then quit. You can still buy your property and make money from 2 sources. He said retire. If he wants to retire for good he doesn't want to buy houses.

And I didn't know where you live. You are right, 2 Million to you is quite a bit.

you can do 2 things

1) Take the 2 million and split it up into $35,000's and spend it for the next 60 years. The money will go to 0 though, but you won't have to lift a finger.

2) Take the 2 million, and invest some in real estate and some in others, You'll be trying to live off the intrest and profits , but there WILL be work though.
The good thing is if you do it right, in 60 years, you'll still have 2 million or more!

for me, the 2nd option is the best option and it keeps you 'rich'.
real estate is very good. you can take $200,000 and turn it into $1million in 10 years very easily, thats a 500% increase, unheard of in stock markets and such but quite prevalent in real estate with low risk.

ps. to have 2 million net legit, you need to make around 3-4 million dollars.

Have fun!
