I don't live payday to payday, I have some very nice savings account (I'm 27 and I'm pretty sure I could retire if I wanted).
But I'm still PISSED about the $15k I had on my Epass accounts! |

Indeed, everyone should have a 6 months minimum emergency fund in a real bank.
It's scary how many people appeared to be dependent on epass to pay for basic necessities like food and shelter. There was a guy in the epassporte thread saying he was counting on the money he had there to pay this month's rent. Fuck that. |
This is bad timing for me. By my standards, I was heavily invested in an offline business, have heavily invested online sites. I started to seem my returns from the online investments and was leaving more and more in epass to ramp up those investments even more. Now its fucking stuck there.

You got a point shap when ibill went down the shitter we didnt have no money coming in for 3 months. At that time I was buying a house and moving an office. From when we were making enough that this became full time. We treated it like a job we got paid fixed amounts twice a month. If we couldnt live on that it was cut back or work harder to make more to get paid more.
Getting paid a fixed amount and not using the business account as our own personal account we were able to build up reserves that get us thru the slow times or in the case with ibill the no money times. These things are not banks and should not be treated as such. Like paypal I never keep more than 5 bucks in there because thats the amount if I lost it wouldnt piss me off. |
