ePassporte Official Statment
From: Christopher Mallick, Owner, ePassporte.com <http://ePassporte.com>
Dear ePassporte Account Holders, Please be advised that, at 12:00 PM PDT today, September 2, 2010, we were notified that effective immediately, Visa International has suspended our banking partner?s (St. Kitts Nevis Anguilla National Bank) ePassporte Visa program. The ePassporte e-Wallet program continues to be up and running, except funds cannot be transferred between your Visa Account and your e-Wallet. At this time ePassporte can no longer issue Visa Cards, and the ability for our Account Holders to make point of sale purchases and withdraw funds from ATMs has also been suspended. At this time we do not know why this drastic action was taken by Visa. To us, it is unconscionable that such action would be taken without the opportunity for ePassporte to fully understand Visa?s reasons and to be able to take all steps necessary to keep our program running the way it has so successfully done for over 7 years. But that is what Visa has done. As soon as we have more information we will be in contact with you. In the meantime please be assured that your funds are safe. We are very sorry for the short notice and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The ePassporte team is working diligently to rectify this situation. We kindly ask you to bear with us while we work through this issue. Please feel free to contact us via the message center or at our call center, should you have any questions, comments or concerns. Thank You, Christopher Mallick

Please email me at [email protected] and I will do my best to respond as quickly as possible. It will probably be the best option since IM will be very busy.
Thanks Michael

If the money are on the Wallet you can withdraw via wire, a US bank account or to a credit/debit card in your name.
If the funds are on the Virtual Visa its not possible to access them at this time.

I'm not very familiar with epass so I am a little unclear as to what exactly this means and how it may impact me.
Right now I have one sponsor paying to my epass, I then use that money solely for paying other people for services. Nothing more. Will this new situation impact me at all?

Wow...I had gone to the ATM earlier today to make a withdraw and received some weird error. I go to login to activate the ATM Limits so that I could go try again and I see this message.
What the hell happened? Errrrrrrrrr I have funds in my account that I can no longer access via ATM. Unreal. I have used ePassporte for years, sure as hell did not expect this. Is this an issue that will be sorted out at some point? Fucking great...

I just realized that all of my funds in epassporte are in my Virtual Visa account. So what does this mean for me? That I no longer have access to do anything with the funds at all?

First, how can you guys not have a "plan b" for something this drastic?
Second, why visa over mastercard? Lastly, would now be a good time for more programs to offer payoneer? |

Funds on the Virtual card can not be accessed at this time cause Visa have suspended the cards, only funds in the Wallet can be accessed.

Either Visa or epass is responsible legally. People cant take out thousands of dollars now because of this and there better be another option for people to get there money or tons of lawsuits which will result into wins

I am sorry but at this time its not possible to transfer the money from the virtual card since Visa have suspended the cards. Only funds that are already in the Wallet is possible to move.

Why can I not transfer my funds from my Virtual Visa account into my wallet like I have always been able to? That doesn't make sense. What kind of time frame are we talking here? I have a lot of money tied up on my Virtual Visa now.

I don't quite understand this. It looks like any deposited funds are automatically added to the "Virtual Visa" card. Why is it like that to begin with?

I went to fill out the form to wire myself some money but I cannot because some fields aren't applicable to canadian residents
We don't have IBAN numbers and pretty sure we don't have "Originator's TIN(SSN or EIN)"

Before we introduced the Wallet that were the only option, after we introduced the Wallet there is a setting to choose where you want the money stored when you get an incoming transfer.
