I guess it's back to using checks again.

...and it goes WAY deeper than epassporte. |
Good bye ePass. I've changed my payout methods. I suggest everyone to do the same. Your money, even in your 'wallet' is not safe as they are not covered by FDIC.
|
big news for today
|
Hopefully isn't a long wait and a fairly reasonable quick solution.first reaction is to panic at first but at least this was announced quickly and Michael is trying to fan the flames now.

funny thing is they can walk with your money and nobody can do a damn thing about it. Probably in a bank in panama by now
|
Fuck does that mean I will be eating Kraft dinner & canned beans for next few weeks?
Im here in Indonesia cant withdrawal money.. luckily I have cash on me. luckily Im going back to Canada on the 21st... Only if people paid there taxes, this would never happen;) I bet the UN is behind this. |

...and Im not trolling either. I truly mean this President is so anti-business he is pushing companies to go to extremes and shore up their own loose ends. Its a mad money and asset scramble everywhere right now. |
Better use some of that MiddleMen money to un-fuck this :2 cents:
|
We should take is easy on Michael, we're very fortunate to have someone like him that actually comes on this board to keep us all updated and answer questions. It's MUCH nicer than trying to talk to one of their foreign phone support people that you can barely understand, ha ha.
Thanks Michael, I'm one person that appreciates you !! In the couple of times I had issues, you took care of me right away and I'm sure you're doing what you can to help take care of the situation. |
WTF uses wallet?
--- I thought that is the logical way. If your credit card gets stolen or smth no one can take your money as it is safe in wallet. I log in to epass daily so when the funds in visa run low I just transfer them from wallet. It really is much better way than keeping it all in VISA. But I got burned too for around $500. Also the date couldn't be worse since most affiliates send you the payment around 1st so you cant change the payment to check or smth in such a short notice.... Michael when you say you are resolving this issue - what does this mean exactly? Are you trying to persuade visa that the issues cards will start working again? That it will be just like before? Or are you trying to get the seized funds back but our visa cards will be useless... |

Michael's been nothing but helpful over the years, a great rep and epass was lucky to have him. Unfortunately, as we can imagine the boys at epass are going to abandon him here, while the ship goes down and Michael likely doesn't even know just how fucked up things really are. |
Michael I just emailed you...please get back to me asap
thanks |

I don't think epass is doing this, they are rock solid, chris is a close personal friend and everything. Just saying this is always how it started and 3 months later finally people realize it's just over and there's no one left to yell at and no hope left of seeing your moolah. |
Michael is the best!
|
Michael, I believe you are an employee at ePassporte but do you know actually what happened behind the scene? VISA will not do this all of a sudden this is what I believe and something must have happened behind the scene which you may not know either.
Do you know what happened and what is the probability of a resolution? It seems a bit unreal that VISA came and did the suspension all of a sudden without a reason. While I have high hopes that this issue will get resolved, its way too much scary. Yes, I do have my money stuck in epass. |
I'll make a guess that they are trying to recoup the HUGE loss on the Middle Men movie project.

such a fail |
I agree, Visa just wouldn't drop in unannounced and pull the plug. Epass must have known about this for months and kept account holders in the dark just like any other bank / service would, fuckers.

Or this could all be BS and one the owners needs to pay off a big Vegas marker or movie investment. |

We are working on getting everything back to normal with working cards and so on. |

Wow... just got a message and reading through the posts. I have a bunch of cash tied up at the moment like everyone else. Here's hoping that it gets resolved quickly.
Thanks for keeping us informed Michael. Hopefully there's good news coming shortly. |

So, they can make a movie that they pimp out, but can't tend to their main business. hmmm.
Well, hope this works out for the best then. Michael seems confident. but, who the heck moves their money to wallet anyhow? |

Thanks for the info, Michael. Hope it all works out.

Its simple - all payments in the virtual visa area (atm/withdrawl cards) are locked. If your receiving new payments make sure to select the option (in wallet settings) to receive all payments to your wallet and not your virtual visa so you can request a wire payout in the meantime. Contact all affiliate programs and payout partners and have them temporarily pay you via check/deposit or wire until Michael and the crew at epassporte get things fixed - from my understanding of issued visa cards, your old cards will not work when they acquire a new bank/contract - it will take time to fix regardless. For all partners of www.nichepartners.com - we have temporarily paused payments via epassporte and will hold things until you email us to advise of a new payment method. A notice has been posted on our site and live support is open for inquiries.
Thank you kindly. |
I've never been a mallick fan but have to say Michael has always helped out and made sure my business with epassporte was smooth. Hearing from him tonight has made this news much easier to take. Thx Michael

The problem that might happen is that even if the everything goes back to normal the people will still be "afraid" about the future so we might see many people withdrawing money through their credit cards once they start working again.
That is why I think that if things get resolved that epassporte should go to great lengths to ensure and calm down the epass owners that the things are really ok in the long term. Persuading people and business to stay with epass or at least not withdraw money in masses even if the things get back to normal will be the most difficult I think. But so far they are doing ok - so thanks to Michael for not keeping us in the dark so far and please keep updating us.. |
I hope those of you that think this has something to do with the movie are just trolling and not serious.

Ahh, it was fun while it lasted. |
Michael, why did this happen? What motivates the Visa?
|
To be honest that was the whole point of the wallet and epass recommended most funds be kept in there. The virtual visa account was for funds you might need to withdraw soon...the whole idea was so someone couldn't drain your account through the ATM or swipe.
Thanks MO for getting back to me...I have emailed you the documents please check |

My guess is either, everyone is simply getting fucked out of their money, or charges have been filed, which included an immediate C&D to the bank / VISA. Or the unlikely, and it's a really piss poor business decision on ePass's part not to give everyone a heads-up. I can't see VISA suddenly pulling the plug without being forced by law to do so. If #1 -- They're not going to be looking for a new banking relationship. If #2 -- I doubt Mastercard is going to say, "Ohhh, you're under investigation by the DOJ with pending charges? No problem, let's get you setup with an account!" |
I really hate that Kinky Dollars an a cpl more was early with their payments this time around
Fuck, with the bad timing of this shit, wonder how much is stuck in total. |

I wonder if any companies are going to rush epass payments to empty their accounts asap. Putting the epass risk on their affiliates.
