How to turn down a business offer...

    Hi,

Thanks for the *insert niche* offer. I am going to pass for now, but, if it's ok, I want to add you to my contacts list. I need services like yours from time to time and you can never know too many people in this "biz".

Thank you again for the offer and I will certainly contact you in the future if things change.

Good to meet you.. see you on gfy!

Then just save your reply in the folder named "*insert niche*" in case you need that service later and want to get quotes.

vs. deleting an email and never replying to the person/company.

That's pretty well how I've been trying to run things for the past dozen years. A few times, though, I'll continue to be harrassed (Who'd you pick instead? My work isn't good enough? Ok, ok. I'll cut the price by fifty bucks) until I'm forced to just start deleting their emails.

Sounds like that conversation was heading in the right direction for you... last contact he was lowering the price.

I know what you mean though. Sometimes those people are kids and haven't learned business yet.

Unless you ask to be contacted via icq. Lots of people on gfy use email and icq

But, if someone out of the blue just spammed my icq when I did not ask for the offer, I would block them too.
