4 hours at best according to one negro and one white at 2 different stores.

I was skeptical when the negro told me, but after hearing from the white, i now believe it to be fact.

.

I get a full day out of my Evo and I use it a fair amount for talking, texting and web browsing and sometimes other uses.

Looks great, but curious to know with the Epic if are you able to sync your Outlook contacts and calendars directly via the USB connection? On a previous Samsung phone, it forced you to sync this information up to Google and then back down to your phone from Google. :(

Good question. I use HTC Sync to syncchronize my Evo calendar & contacts through USB so I do not have to put all my data on the Google cloud. Samsung has an app called Samsung Kies that is supposed to serve a similar purpose, although I am not positive if it works with the Epic or how well.

Nice, congrats.

Yeah. He's an idiot...for sure.

Both phones are awesome. I just thought I could do without the keyboard, when I really couldn't.

I felt the exact same way about the physical keyboard. But, to my great astonishment, I'm already typing faster on this virtual keyboard! The whole reason I was looking at the Epic was for the keyboard, but now I'm thrilled that I sucked it up and got used to the virtual one - within 24 hours. :)

It's looking the same for me. Plus, as soon as my 3500mAh battery arrives, I'll be able to run it like a madman for about two full days. 1500mAh upgrading to 3500 = :pimp:pimp

sexdatesj 09-02-2010 01:23 PM

Dont like sprint.. :(

JD 09-02-2010 02:35 PM

how's the network though?

pamon 09-02-2010 02:52 PM

sprint's network is a FAIL, especially where you don't get 4G.

+ battery life on the EVO if a FAIL. bad reviews and bad battery life

Good to know that HTC Sync works on the EVO. Good find....hadn't seen Samsung Kies. Not sure how good it does, but at least an option. Anyone have an Epic that they are syncing with Outlook?

Droid X > iPhone 4 > EVO

The screen resolution is pretty shitty on the EVO, 800X480 vs 960X640 on a considerably smaller screen for the iPhone 4. The iPhone's screen text is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY sharper, it's not even close. You don't really notice it until you play with both.

Two of my buddies have both the droid and EVO and I have an iPhone 4. The Droid X is the best IMO. It has a higher resolution screen than the EVO, way better battery life, less bugs, the motoblur skin, (which is way sleeker) and it's available on Verizon.

I love my iPhone 4, but the service on Verizon is WAY better. The 4G Sprint is a bunch of marketing bullshit, it's spotty as hell and pretty much useless from what my buddy said. Also, just playing around on his EVO, the 3g seems slower browsing the web.

I'm waiting for a better phone from Motorola. They need to make a Droid with an OLED screen with better battery life, then I'll drop AT&T and my iPhone for it.

I use Swype for the software keyboard. I tried. I did love the EVO, aside from that.

I do type fastest with that, but there's still just something about the physical keyboard that I just couldn't be without.

Check out Swype if you haven't - http://swypeinc.com

I've been a Sprint customer for years and not a single complaint. I'm in a 4G area, and it works just fine. The speed boost over 3G if very noticeable.

When you're out of a Sprint coverage area, they have a deal to piggyback off of Verizon...so I'm always connected.

Had one and returned it a week later. Sprint gave me a full refund. Honestly one of the worst phones I have ever had. I'd rather use my old Razor

This is a pretty good comparison, and mildly humorous. I always liked CNET reviews.
