how many sites do youy promote?

Used to be any site that was promotable. However these days I send traffic mainly to about 10 programs that have been around for years and are reliable. I promote smaller sites/prog is they have something different & unique to push.

Just this one!

I started out with perhaps 10 sites on 5 programs... I made $x amount of money. My theory was that if I made those sales I could hit the 100 minimum payouts faster. Then I came to GFY and in everyone's sigs were all of these really cool sites and so I branched out and pretty soon I found myself promoting 400 sites in 40 programs...

My income went up by ($sites*$programs)/100 = $x or $x * 160...

So if $x was $80 actually paid out in a month before, a year later it became 12,800 a month paid...

I documented all of this shit back in like 2006 or 2007... do some searching... Even wrote a perl program to calculate this kind of shit.

So why did that huge growth happen? Because my surfers don't like the same shit over and over again. Plus, bookmarkers that buy from you will often come back and buy more again and again... If they trust you and they enjoy what you find for them, they will keep your pockets full of cash...

If I gave them the same 20 sites over and over they'd stop coming back and I'd get the lucky sale every 20,000th surfer instead of the dedicated sale every 1,000th... Do the math...

5 at the moment but the one I promote in my Sig. does the best for me.

I usuakky stick to just a few select sites. I did just start promoting a new celeb site www.payingsolutions.com and doing prettyt good so far. It's just out of beta but looks promising and good support people there.

As we are content producers, we only promote our own websites & our own content, we do not have lousy backend sales in our members areas, nor do we have xsales.

However, we have started to promote Twistys in our emails that we send out to our previous members. It's a promotional deal with Twistys as our content is shown in their tube site "sextube" with our link & banner on the page.

i think i have linked big part of adult paysites, but only small part is making me money anyway, you are asking questions like some noob, and i am sure this is only bad for your business. who will signup to program where owner knows shit about what he do ...

Well everyone should be promoting our gorgeous Canadian girls - they sell - they make money :D But you should never put all your eggs in one basket. Also use a stats program to make sure your getting paid without nagging people and getting no where.

As a matter of interest, how many sites have you joined? Do you know that 95% of the industry does member upsells? This is not a prechecked cross sale or anything like that. It is just a simple ad, say for twistys, within your members' area. It will convert very very well as the people in that area have a credit card and like porn.

Ask other people you know in the biz, post here, but really, you are missing a HUGE trick not doing upsells.

Ive joined a few sites in the past & certainly do not wish to upsell, we give our members enough content & our affiliates appreciate the income, especially with the recurring.

We do not or do not need to promote other websites, we only mention the 1 website as favour for favour, So no advice taken for promoting other websites. Am I not entitled to post in a thread with title of which sites do we promote? As said, only our own, although we let people know of the other site....

We email our members to tell them about news that may interested them. We give them offers & inform them about our latest adventures, this certainly cannot be illegal. Especially as we do not harrass, with the 1 email.

I'm a marketing consultant Gary, I help people make more money from their sites. If you added member upsells you should add around 30% to your bottom line. Overnight. If you added telephone billing you'd add another 15%. It pains me to see someone clearly as successful as you missing some really simple things to make more money.
