Conversions are definitely down across the board, but definitely some sponsors are better than others. No reason not to add a pay site to your portfolio. Maybe try some new sponsors. I know I have some sites I can still convert, including SpookyCash ones of course.

But there are definitely some where I used to make a join for every few hundred uniques and now I can't convert. I think some sites stopped updating, so new members are not going to sign up. Harder to make new content in the current economy because talent wants to get paid more, at the same time programs have less.

People keep talking about shaving, but aren't most programs these days NATS or CCBill or Epoch or maybe Verotel or Zombaio? If so, how are they shaving? I just don't think shaving is really happening in 2010. Slow pay and no pay is definitely happening, but I don't think shaving really is.

1:300-1:1300, if you're using all your traffic to promote one sponsor (putting all your eggs in one basket?) then you will probably not see very good ratios, unless you've hit some sweet spot and the one site you're promoting is exactly what all your traffic is looking for.

The problem with promoting ONE site is that a lot of your visitors aren't looking to join THAT site so you won't make any sales from them and your ratio is going to look bad. If you are promoting a handful of sites (even just a text link in your header/footer will make sales) then you have a better chance of your visitors finding what they're looking for and your ratios for each site/sponsor will look better since you're not dumping all them onto one site.

I'm not using PPS only recurring (recurrings are 90% of the my income), and when I tried one cam sponsor it shaved hard. Peoples bills everytime only one month and after that was dead, I simply think, that he shut me off after month and continue with shaving. And this is a general opinion, that cams sponsors shaving big after one month...

I think too, that the best way is to use a new sponsors, I will start few TGPs and feed with them new sponsors which pay via EP...

And sure this biz going more and more professional, so each year we need more traffic and more skills to make same ammount of the money...

As the gallery submitter I don't have too much possibilities how to check which sponsor will convert, I can't change my galleries. I will start the TGPs soon, in them I may change sponsors and use some Advertise systema as the OpenX to optimise my revenues.

But GOOD POINT MAN! Sure I need to forward my outgoing traffic to sponsors which will convert better (surfers like them more and wanna buy).

And expand to other traffic sources. Now I'm only in the gal and LL biz, so I will expand to the TGP biz and Paysite will be a good gold-mine too.

So generally work harder, but sure smarter too...
