See you take a few signs, that may be held by a democrat plant, who knows and label a whole movement. That is pretty prejudice of you.

Like this democrat plant

They are a black supporters....black race supporters. I'm sure they are racist, but they aren't Democrats and they don't support the Gov. We aren't talking about them or the KKK though, racist groups that we know are racists.

Hitler was white and murdered a shit ton of people.

Bush was white and murdered a ton of people.

See the relation now? Not really racism at all.

Yup, you're prejudice is showing. Never once have I been to a tea party and seen a racist sign or heard anything racist said. Never once have I walked to a bar and heard racist things said. So whos right? Since the tea party is made up of 40% independents and democrats I would have to lean to thinking they are not racist. Where as you take your very limited exposure, in one location, and say they are. That makes you prejudice.

So if I go to a poor black area, see all the drugs and violence should I call all blacks druggies and violent?

I don't believe you've ever been to a tea party protest.... We have them here, always several racist type signs, I've even posted pictures before. I've never seen a tea party protest, without several racist signs.

You probably don't hear racist things in bars because you don't live in the South/Texas or in areas or bars, that have zero blacks or Mexicans or anyone of any color other than White. When you get a bunch of red necks drunk, Obama is blamed for the bad golf game they had.

I don't think all tea baggers are racist.... I do think it was started because of racism and racism is what truly fuels it. That doesn't mean everyone is, but damn sure a shit ton of them are.

I've seen all news networks show blacks and people of color talking at the tea party protests, and all news networks report on the percentage of other races at them, just to show it's not all whites.

If the tea party was truly against the gov/spending, growth, etc... and not a (right/conservative) movement... they would stop attacking the left/liberals and get them to join in. But that isn't the message the rest of America gets.

No matter what Obama says information is not a bad thing.

Quote:

1. The tea party isn't a reaction to President Obama, it's a reaction to the bank bailouts.

There are some kernels of truth here. The first modern tea party events occurred in December 2007, long before Barack Obama took office, and they were organized by supporters of Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) to raise money for his long-shot presidential bid. They received the respectful, hey-look-at-that coverage sometimes given a candidate flipping pancakes at a church social.
Quote:

2. The tea party is racist.

It's a phenomenon that some activists call "nutpicking" -- send a cameraman into a protest and he'll focus on the craziest sign. Yes, there are racists in the tea party, and they make themselves known. But tea party activists usually root them out. Texas activist Dale Robertson, who held a sign likening taxpayers to a racial epithet at a 2009 rally, was drummed out of that event and pilloried by his peers. Mark Williams, formerly the bomb-throwing spokesman for the Tea Party Express (he once told me he wanted to send the liberal watchdog group Media Matters "a case of champagne" for calling him racist), was booted after penning a parody that had the NAACP pining for slavery.

Liberal critics of the tea party argue that conservative opposition to social spending is often racially motivated. That's not new, though, and it's not the basis for the tea party.

IllTestYourGirls, even if I were to magically concede and we eliminate the racist element from the equation... you still can't deny that the baggers are truly a bunch of ignorant, religion driven screwballs.

How you can give them legitimacy is beyond me.

tony286 08-28-2010 09:25 AM

Of course its racially motivated. Because how can they pissed about taxes when 95 percent of them got a tax break and fiftey percent of that pays almost zero taxes.

Most Indies are Republicans... and plenty of racists on all sides. I don't watch MSNBC, other than what gets posted here on GFY, I don't think I've ever watched them on tv.

The movement that started with Ron Paul is not the tea party movement we have today. The movement 'actually started' right when Obama signed the papers to allow the bailout Bush setup to continue... It didn't start when Bush did the bailout(S) all 3 trillion of them or the last one - it started 'exactly' when it was known Obama would take office.

If Obama never allowed bailout... we would still have the tea party protesting today, just like they are. If we had a white president, it wouldn't be the same - at all. The moment a white president gets into power, the tea party movement will end.

Wait I thought you just said that talk show hosts rallied against Clinton. Did I miss something is he black? Im sorry if Edwards was president Beck would have used the same tactics to rally up the conservative base and there would still be huge rallies against Edwards. Why? Because people are tired of watching Washington fuck us over. Beck is just an opportunist.

If Hillary was president the MSM would be calling the tea party sexist. It is just a tactic.

the Tea Party is at it's core pure unabashed racism. I've seen news reports that less than 1 person in 1000 at teabag rallys are black. And at most tbagger ralleys there will not be a single person of color in attendance. It's plainly obvious that this is the modern day KKK, it's not grass roots, it's astro turf, those crowds are bought and paid for by bigots like Dick Armey and Rupert Murdoc... Doc you said it - If we elected a white president the ALL WHITE (nearly) Tea Party would vanish overnight.

I can only stand a few minutes listening to Beck, way too religious, but some people listen to that. But when there is a lack of leadership in the country, people look for a different path, a lot are choosing Beck. If Obama was a better leader, even a lukewarm leader, Beck wouldn't have an audience.
Remembering that during the Bush years that Beck was working for CNN

I'm not religious in the mildest terms but I like Beck AND Fox News. And, if you look at the Arbitron ratings in the amount of listeners, you will see that the Majority of viewers do like Fox News vs. CNN, MSBC and others. Let's face it ... if you were a musician and you outsold all other musicians by 2 to 1 would you class yourself as a crappy musician???? There must be something to it when the Majority likes a news and/or music venue. :thumbsup

Fox news is number one in the ratings because they report more than the other networks, and they don't pull punches. America is center leaning right as a whole and the media has been left for ever, Fox figured that out. I watch Fox, along with other news everyday

Sorry to say this, but by your standards, if the NAACP is made up of mostly blacks, then they are racist, if Black Colleges are made up of mostly black students, they are racist, judging a group by a couple people is racist in nature, so maybe try debating the facts that the core beliefs of the Tea Party is Fiscal Responsibility?

Correct, he is an opportunist. He isn't a reporter, news man, investigator, he's much closer to a conman than anything... the only reason his shit goes over is because he sensationalizes everything driving fear into stupid people.

He might have been able to do a rally, it wouldn't have been today. People are tired of watching Washington fuck us over, but it isn't Beck or Palin's version of the problem - what they offer is more problem or repeating of Internet articles they don't actually understand.

Just the idea that people rally up behind them isn't a sign of people getting tired of Washington, it's a sign that either people are pure stupid or extremely racist.
